I've seen a couple of comments on Wayfinder about a narrow and crumbling bridge at SK 2070 7425 on Black Harry Lane (last was in March 2007). Has anyone driven this recently? Is it best avoided in a shiny MkV Patrol ?

Cheers
Andrew

I'm also taking it for granted that JonathnM and Hummingbird will be leading groups for me.

I suppose so, while you asked so nicely 8)

Andy and I drove this recently and many of us have been over during the last 12 months and I have to say what are they on about, straight forward lane nothing challenging (even for the guy who wrote that comment in march's Jimny) a patrol will sail through it.

I drove it at night recently and no probs even then. Couple of years ago before the recentish works there was a huge pothole, really belly out stuff, but that was filled in long wile back.

Aye, as the man said.

Aye well you know you both couldn't cope without being up front  and you do it soooooooooo well :p

Looking forward to Sat'day, just got to sort some bits out on the Disco now.

I'm still on for this, clutch still playing up a little. Looks like the master cylinder as this morning on way to work noticed a drip of oily stuff on my left shoe. Looking for a seal kit as cylinders cost£40. Got a set of M/T's now as well.

Well I wouldn't want to follow you around again, sticks like a kebab shop and that landy thing gets stuck on rocks.

If theres stuff to do on the Disco which Saturday are you aiming for, you know how these green oval things are......

Now you know it just made you hungry, isn't that why you had to shoot off, to find a take away

Had to finish the lift, needed longer bump stops fitted, Old bolts had to be ground out and new poly bush long stops fitted. To say it was cold outside and I'm getting creaky bones, I had all 4 done in the hour.

Now all I've got to do is figure that relay for the spots. They work with out the relay but not with. Trouble is without the wire is not heavy duty enough so needs replacing. I just don't like the idea of the spots mounted and not working.

............and yes it does get stuck on rocks.............thats why its now known as Rocky..............thing is the steering wheel attendant doesn't help much as he keeps bouncing into them

 Another idea for Saturday

As the nights are drwaing in fast now, we're likley to be finishing about dusk

After the days event is finished, how about a group of a maximum of 4, drop down into Hatersage(or similar) for a fish and chip tea or early supper and a break. Large layby past Hathersage but before Bamford if you want to make a brew or bacon sarnie etc.

Then after all rested an hour or so, move on to 8 or 10 lanes in the dark, such as Hurstclough, Leeside, up Pindale and a few more before returning to Hope and having a pint (of pop cos I'm driving)and a chat, then away home not too late.

For saftey reasons the following will apply: (these terms are non negotiable)

1. Strong front and rear recovery point must be fitted

2. Must have working CB radio fitted.

3. No mardy bums if you pick up a scratch.

Persons attending the after dark lanes.

1. Cameraman & Ladyinred
2. Dinky
3. Iandouglas
4.

Best count me out then, you know how precious I am about my paintwork.

Seriously though I'll be heading home I'm afraid, babies to see to etc...

I'm keen on fish and chips and could manage a pint (of pop) but, I don't have a CB (yet) - so I'm out (of the late evening laning).

Cheers

Thanks

I think I have sent you a PM Andy. Once again my working life has interfered with my social life. Apologies but I will not be able to attend............might as well sell the Mav for all the off road use it gets. :(

Hi, not sure if I can make it or not, Humber-Yorks 4x4 Response are on standby to go out to Scarborough to assist Police with tidal surge related matters. We've had members out there for the past 20hrs and not sure at the moment what the next high tide will bring at 04.11, I'm down as the next shift to go out if needed. If I'm there I'm there but I should assume for now that I won't be.

Sorry - see you all another time.
