I would much rather people asked than became embarrased later when stuck

As long as you have a good strong front and rear recovery point, I have everthing else you will need.

I'm not a big fan of rope (opinions vary) especially kinetic ropes. If you buy/beg/borrow/obtain a recovery strop, make sure it is rated at least 5 tons and as long as possible. Lorry ratchet straps with the hooks removed make good strops.

3 things you will need:

1. Camera to record you failure and success
2. Sense of humour (see No 1.)
3. Loo roll (see No 2)

Thats put my mind at rest. My son Tom and me are really looking forward to the day out.
Thanks alot cameraman.

No probs, I'm here to help............and occsionally laugh and be laughed at.

Look forward to meeting you. I'm sure your lad will enjoy it, most kids love it. My daughter always comes with me (but shes an adult I'd better add) and my grandaughter loves it, shes 4.

4. Small spade (or borrow mine)
5. Matches or other means of making fire to incinerate No 3 after use prior to using No 4 to dispose of it and the No 2

Cheers
Andrew

I'll put you on the list, your a little late really as I only like to run groups of 4, but I'll see about a group of 5 if everyone turns up on the day. So you in.

Try www.4x4at.co.uk I have used them Ok, but am now tending towards www.paddockspares.com they are a landrover parts place but seem possibly the cheapest on line place for almost any parts and tyres, and although its not advertised give free delivery on orders over £50

Try Mark at Sowden Tyres too. 0113 2566 606

He pops up on some of the other forums (mudclub, difflock etc) offering advice and is generally well respected and his prices seem very good.

Morrisons Buxton. Grid Ref: SK 06507901

Sorry to be pedantic, but that grid reference is a few miles south of Chapel en le Frith and not too near Morrisons.

Morrison's carpark is, I think, at SK 06507300 or thereabouts.

Cheers
