Drilling through the roof would be the scary part if you ask me
I used a step drill or as I call it a Christmas tree drill to go through the roof, put some zinc primer on the bare metal then put the solid rubber grommet in and made a small hole in it, it's a tight seal round the wire but I reckon I'm still gonna put a bit of sealant in there :thumb2

I use black plastic cable glands with a load of Tiger Seal around it. Yours is a good solution too of course.
Have you been out and tested them on the teuck yet?

Look on Ebay for a foot or floor dip switch. That is what I had on my T2 to control the roof lights. I have just ordered one for the Jeep, makes it much easier that trying to find the right switch on the dash. I then had a 2 way switch on the dash that allowed on or on with main beam.
