Yeh bro, your 33s are about 30mm wider than mine (12.5" wide vs 285mm wide) which is why they need a wider rim :thumbs

10j is still a very wide rim for a 32" tyre though.

PS. Think you mean STTs btw

Oops!!!! I do!!!

It becomes more likely the lower the tyre pressure you're running as the rubber can flex.

I see you've had a recommendation from Google for 10j rims for a 32" tyre - sounds like the usual problem of Google, you've got a general answer to a query that is very specific as it depends COMPLETELY on the specific tyre size and the tyre manufacturer's recommendations.

10j for a 32" must be a very wide tyre you're looking at Doug as the 33s on my old Trol were fine on 8j rims (manufacturer recommendations) and I suspect the 4.2 will be on 8j as well (it's also on 33s).

What's the actual size you're looking at? ie. It's it 265/75 16 or something else? What brand and type?

Those splitties just caught my eye, I've been toying with getting a set of wheels with 31/32" BFG Muds on for meets etc and put my BFG ATs back on for normal driving and caravan pulling etc. I don't really want to go 33" STDs like you guys :nenau

Doug, I've got a standard Ford Maverick alloy which I think is 7J with a 31 10.50 R15 BFGoodrich AT on it with about 6mm of tread that I don't need anymore.

It's yours for nothing if you can pick it up mate if you're flying up and down the country. You can pick it up from Warwick during the day or Solihull in the evening :thumb2

I know you're still going to be 3 short but at least you have one you can put on to check what rubbing you're likely to get etc :thumb2

Thats for yaw doug arrrr cocka

Have Alex's 33's blown off those 7J's I sold him yet :nenau

His 33s are only 10.50 wide so shouldn't have any problems.
I'm running 33's on 8j rims and have been for a few years with no issues and i run mine at 26psi most of the time.
Up the rears to 30psi when towing.
I spoke with My old school tyre fitter before i put my 33's on my 8j rims.
He told me it could compromise handling on heavy cornering and if running really low pressures off road there is an increased risk of rolling the tyre off rim but so far I've had no issues other than putting a rock through the side wall last year:(
