My heater matrix is leaking warm water into passenger footwell and I keep having to top coolant up, AHH BUGGER :D

Hi folks, I think I need some rear brake shoes. Do I need the larger diameter ones or the smaller ones, I have the older h233b axle, thanks :thumb2

You are going to need to pull a drum and have a measure to be sure they are all the same diameter if I remember correctly but the width of the shoes is greater on the later models and the auto adjuster system has been changed, Rick

Cheers Rick, the guy wrote these down for me, I think I have the correct Mintex oart number now though thanks to luke1987, is there any other parts worth/need replacing while I'm doing the shoes?

It could be worth replacing the shoe to back plate retainer pins/springs and plates, as they seem to rust more than the pre 2000 models but yours may be the earlier version in which case would not bother, Rick

I seem to be lucky in that my truck has all the good stuff that nissan used and none of the rubbish, not even an egr, I reckon I'll change the shoes and if anything in there looks worse for wear I will make a note and replace probably the next day, cheers Rick :thumb2

Think ours is the last of the good Doug :). Mines the same no egr and a proper rear diff think ours are the same colour too.

Hey peeps, my front brake pads have worn really low, I had to put some brake fluid in to take the light off the dash until I changed the pads tomorrow. Today whilst reversing there was a lot of resistance like the brakes were on tyen it suddenly released, now there is brake fluid coming out of the o/s/f calliper and no brakes  Could this be a seal that has popped out and can be popped back in or something more serious/expensive?, cheers Mark.

Jeez T-Doug. Are you saying the pads got that low the piston came out!?
Sounds like a strip down and clean up required wth new pads :thumb2
