Derbyshire lanes 10 Nov 07..

A gentle run out in the Derbyshire countryside, with Lunch in the village of Eyam (loo's for the ladies).

This trip will be run in conjuction with www.centraloffroadclub.com as they are running a lane day too. We may have some of their members with us, and any experts amongst you may wish to join one of their groups to tackle some harder routes. Provisionally running two routes, one difficult and one suitable for all but with same start and finish points.

The CORC route:

The day will consist of mainly limstone tracks (some of which can be well rutted) and the ascent of the mighty Stanage Edge (seats in other vehicles for the ride up will be made available for those not wishing to attempt "The Edge" themselves)

Please post if attending and the sort of routes you would be most comfortable with. If this proves a dilema to the current leaders from this club (deciding if to do the harder stuff or lead), please phone me or PM me to talk about it. Sure we can do something to suit all.

Hi CM is this as well as or instead of the day in October? Should be able to do both or either, would like to look at Stanage but might wimp out while my car is my daily driver & caravan tug as well!

So provisional yes from me.

As well as,

We're back to monthly events now I'm back on the road!! Quite happy if anyone else wants to jump in with other areas too.

I have a spare seat for you if required

Route cards are now available for this day in advance, please contact me with a valid e mail address if you require one. They are in downloadable PDF format.

hi Andy

Not sure if Doodles still has access to NFMOC, but just to let you guys know, the CORC event being organised for 10 Nov will be run under CORC guidelines - incl the signing of a CORC disclaimer, etc. and is only open to CORC members (free to join). But there is a waiting list - we just need to be careful about how we organise ourselves - that's all mate :D

Hello Steve,

Just to answer your question,

Yes Doodlebug still has full access.

No probs mate, I was running a day anyway when I realised CORC was too, so we're basically just meeting up for breakfast and then running differant routes during the day. Doodles has my route card for the day and I can let you have a copy too if you like?

I also thought it might be nice if any CORC member wanted an easier day, they could come in with one of NFMOC groups and vice versa. Best of both worlds then

cheers Andy!

It was only the insurance disclaimer I was worried about. Corc event = CORC member = CORC disclaimer ............ that's all really, just in case the worst happened and so damage was done ot a motor

Ok mate, done,

Plenty of room for anyone else if they want to come too. Route card available now by PDF download.

(Done, removed your e mail to stop spamming. CM)

Just bumping this up to remind people its on and there are places available should they wish to get thier tyres dirty.

Route will not be as hard as the on on 13th October so is more suitable for some.

Just confirming that I will attend this day after backing out of this weekends trip at the last minute.

9am in Buxton on a Saturday? I'll have to get up in the dark. :(

I'm definitely wimping out of Stanage. I've only just bought the Patrol and don't especially want to adjust it's shape any just yet - and it's still on road tyres.

Put me down as a provisional.

You're a relative local, Multimap reckons I'm 70 miles from Buxton, mind you with a 10 month old girl I'm awake before its light anyway.
