Depends whereabouts in Nottinghamshire you are, Decathlon next to Ikea on the A610 roundabout at Eastwood have a brilliant collection. The big camping shop on Maid Marion Way also and any Blacks store. Waterstones bookshop also have a great selection. You will need 1:50'000 scale Landranger 110 & 119.

Hope this helps.

ikea

Is this correct? Cameraman is listing only 110 on his posts, no need for anyone to spend money for no reason. Not bothered nyself I've got a rather large wedge of pink on the shelves, have a spare 110 (and 119) if anyone wants to borrow one. .

im not going to be able to make this weekend so dont wait for me

have a great day!!!!!!

Check with Cameraman as this is his thread, but its definately 110 & 119 on the Landranger (pink) maps as I've marked up my maps from his Route cards and uploaded the info onto Memory Map.

Sorry, I'll re look through the thread but I thought I'd said 110 and 119.

Just re read,

JonathanM, I'm using sheets 110 and 119. Not all routes on map are currently legal, some have TROs, some permanantly closed or obstructed, but many open.

Memory map overlay? I'm only just getting used to typing posts on here LOL. My routes are paper and pencil, hand written route cards.

Working on sheets 110 and 119, Ordnance survey landranger series.

Any spare maps you have would always be of help, thanks

Looking forward to seeeing you all in the morning, I've been out today in the Mav and drove 75% on my own, found one section impassable due to obstruction.

Mud club are in area, mostly in blinged Discos and odd LR, kept passing them en route, all very friendly.

Sorry yes, miss read your post as I scanned down it, I read start venue at XYX co-ords sheet 110 to mean start at xyz, you'll need sheet 110 not thats just the sheet its on.

Have definitely got a spare of each if anyone needs one, you might need to bring a rubber though.

Any spare maps you have would always be of help, thanks

Hi guys,

Well its done the days been and gone now, I've just got in, and personally I've had a fabulous day. Its been great to meet new faces and old, and I'm looking forward to next time.

First I'd like to say thanks to those that let me know they couldn't turn up, thats thoughtful and didn't leave us waiting around.

I'd also like to thank all that did turn up because without you it wouldn't have been the same. A special thanks to Doodlebug and Jonathanm for leading a group,(incidently Jonathanm is planning a similar day out soon and this should be equally as good - so watch for his postings)

I'm reviewing the photos and will upload to the gallery later.

Those attending were:

Cameraman
Stressman & guests
Jonathanm
Iandouglas & Sheila
Knottingpot
Hummingbird
Mikeh
Robobone & Vlad
Shark1e
Steveray
Doodlebug

Hope you all had a good time, and a safe journey home, hope you lads that went for Stanage managed it before the light went.

Regards to all
Cameraman

A CHEERY WAVE TO ALL

Just to add, thanks for the invite Cameraman, glad we could help, had a cracking day mate.

Managed Stannage just as it got dark. I didnt quite take the right line to the left & slipped onto me diffs  , no probs though, swift highlift, a few rocks under & away we went. Got MikeH up using the waffle boards.

We finally got to the top as dusk set in, it was brilliant fun helpin each other over the rocks. We came back through Redmires & back down Hurst Clough in the dark, how different they look.

Anyone else doing one & need some help, PM me & we'll be there.

Thanks one and all for allowing a couple of "farmers Trucks" in, I'd also grudgingly  like to say it was great to see ya again Shark1e. You doing Steves bash at Brownhills on the 28th? If so, see ya there mate :D

I would just like to say thanks to Cameraman for all his great work in setting up today brilliant, welll done mate the members did the right thing electing you as ROW officer

But i would like to thank ALL those in the pack I was with, in being able to enjoy such good company and espcially for the "pit stop wheel change" at the end.

You should be employed with the williams F1 team.

Could not have managed without you guys. Now i have to get it sorted.

V-Lad asked me to pass on his thanks to you all too.

Until the next time

Take care one and all.

laneing

hi everybody looking at pics looked avery interesting day out might have to put my name down next time shame i did not this time

Got about an 1½hours ago having gone to Knaresborough to pick up a trailer and have finally eaten and unpacked.

Was my first time out laning though I had seen a couple of those lanes before at great speed in the middle of the night. Had a great day out - thanks cameraman. Apologises once again for late arrival.

Petrol tank seems to have held up after all, do wonder if it might have been someone else leaking fuel. No sign of any leak on mine, just came down on it very hard at the time. Going to have a shallower, though perhaps slightly longer one made up (in stainless steel if its not too much extra over mild) that will fit up behind the chassis rail and then look into a full length guard, might as well do the whole lot whilst I'm at it. Some ATs too before the Tong weekend.

I'll try to do something with the video i took over the next few days.
