That's right. There's a pot to catch the dribbles with a pipe off the bottom. Just got to aim it into something :thumb2

next to filter is the bloody oil pressure switch that fails.

Not quite bud, that's the low pressure one which is usually okay, it's the high pressure one on the opposite side down near the starter that usually fails... :(

Phew thanks Rob, Panelbeater do your homework :doh :lol

I have to say Banshee the work you have been doing on this truck is excellent. This truck is going to be a high quality long lasting vehicle, if you keep it then it will serve you well for a long time. If you sell it the next owner will have a fantastic vehicle.
Well done mate and keep it up:clap

Week off next week as my annual leave refreshes in September and I've been told if I don't take them next week I'll lose them as I'm not allowed to take them over.

So looks like it's goinmg to be full speed ahead with the work on the mighty 3 litre

Stay near your laptops, pics incoming :naughty

Begging to be worked on :naughty :naughty

Update Time

I've been working on the truck on off on off now all week and got to a point today where I'm just waiting for the underside to dry before I can start tin foiling stuff I don't want to get mucky and stuff that's going to be painted.

Firstly though, I removed the wings from the truck as I knew these were going to need attention, did't quite think they would be this bad :eek

Just for those that haven't seen this before, on the later trucks the glow plug relay is mounted here, no wonder they rot and become a pig to start :doh

The whole of the truck has been ground down now and all crud has come off, today I gave the underside a jet wash and even jet washed inside every hole I could get the jet wash nozzle into on the chassis and the crap that came out astounded me!!!!

Now I had time to spare to start prepping parts that are off the car for a refurb and a paint up :naughty

Started with the fuel tank, same as I did with Terrance, stripping it and it all seems good and will be painting black again :thumb2

I'll update more as I go :thumb2

Spent a few hours outside earlier but didn't really get much done, I had a bit of a tidy up and then wanted to start sticking foil and paper on the truck in preparation for applying the Waxoyl when the chassis is dry enough.

The weather put the stop on that one around miday when I had horizontal hail, lightning and thunder for about 20 mins and then on off showers :doh

I needed a good tidy up anyway, things have started to look a bit messy so I've had a sort out and I've also measured up old bolts etc and ordered new bits and bobs.

Had some new 45mm External Circlips delivered today for the torsion bars as the originals had to be removed with force, damaging them

Also got a pair of 12S& 12N Tow Bar Sockets as the current ones have seen better days

Since jet washing yesterday, i decided I'd leave the sheet on the ground to dry on its own and I'd sweep up, by the time I came out the house this afternoon it was just piles of dust, I swept it up and managed to fill 1/2 a dustpan, all crap that had come out of the chassis, I'm glad I gave it a good blast out :naughty

Progress is slow/ non existent at the min, Terrance is off the road, and I've got lots of side work on the go earning me a bit of cash too that's going to take up a big portion of my time now until almost Christmas I reckon.

All I managed today while I was working on Terrance was to finish giving the fuel tank it's first coat of paint.

Must work harder!!!!! :doh
