Took half a day off work yesterday :naughty

In that time I managed to get the truck Waxoyled :thumb2

Have only been in a position where I have been ready to Waxoyl now for about 2 weeks, a week of that was not an option as I was in Austria (anyone want to see any interesting Austrian Motors?) and the other days were too windy and wet :doh

Been keeping my eye on the weather forecast since coming back off holiday and Monday it looked like Friday afternoon was going to be the best weather of the week I took a punt and booked it off Tuesday afternoon, come yesterday morning it looked as if I'd made the worst decision ever as we had downpours all morning in Warwick :doh Then at about 11:50 the clouds dispersed, bright sunshine and blue sky, minimal winds and was 16 degrees :naughty I was set.....................

Here was the results, please find me a better protected 3 litre Terrano

12.5 litres at the moment with a 500ml aerosol unopened ready to patch up anything I've missed or wear away when refitting all the bits and bobs now

I'd say all in, about 2 1/2 - 3 hours

Never used waxoil before and don’t even know what sort of container it comes in.

I used the official Waxoyl High Pressure Sprayer which is only compatible with the 2.5l pressure tins as far as I'm aware.

There are 2 types of pressure lance, the older one is far superior to the newer one that actually has it's own container that the Waxoyl has to be poured into.

This is the newer one that is crap, I've used it.

The 5 litre tins stood submerged in the bath in hot water and when the 2.5l tin was empty I'd pour some more in, pump up and go again

The chassis is full of the stuff as pictured :sly

I feel so so so good for getting it done and out the way now, it should be an easy road now to get the new shiny parts bolted back on which is always the fun part.

Still sourcing some bits and bobs, need to get the wings repaired and sprayed or replaced depending what's available out there.

Cheers Jim, yours was that clean I wouldn't even bother prepping it :O just spray it straight on

I'm glad this one is having a nut and bolt rebuild, it's going to feel fresh when it hits the road :sly

Paint it red and write ARB on it :lol

It needs to match the colours on the truck already, If you can match, I would go the same colour as the plastic trim in between the rear lights, where the rear wiper is. I think that would look really good as everything matches but is broken up.
