Hi Zac, any particular reason why you separated the the bumper cover and reinforcer?
If you've got it stripped down so far check the rear body mounts? Theyre a bugger for rusting.

No real reason apart from cleaning, I'll remove it next time around, only been at it today by hand and with a stiff hand brush really, was going to go straight at it with the wire brush on the drill but just way way too much mud and crud in there. Chassis is only showing signs of very light surface rust and no flaky peeling parts yet apart from a few large lumps on the rear diff that are going to need looking at

The body is even better and still holding onto the old Waxoyl well :thumb2

Zac,

Changing the regulator on your passenger side window.......mine is also terminally slow to almost failing......

Where did you source the part?
Approx cost?
Is it a difficult job?

Thanks in advance...:thumb2

I sourced mine from James (terranobreakershropshire) he's not a member on here anymore he only had 1 that he thought was any good.

20 min job, remove the door card and the sheet of plastic that's gunked to the door. 7 10mm bolts holding it to the door and then 2 more 10mm bolts holding the mechanism to the window, don't drop your glass!!!!! It was a little fiddly lining it all up.

Simples

Zac,

Thanks for that m8......:thumb2

So......the obvious question......has anyone out there got a passenger side electric window regulator, in good working condition, going spare, that I can buy ?

To fit 2004 T2 SVE 3.0ltr auto

More than happy to Paypal an immediate payment, that will have to cover carraige to Swansea...........

Many thanks in advance....:bow

Yes I got some, they are all up to 2000, but see no reason for them to have changed, easy enough to do, takes me about half an hour total will send you a PM, Rick

Rick,
Thank you, pm received and replied...

Progress has been awfully awfully slow....... I've lost the Mojo, feeling really snowed under at the moment, I've got to many projects on the go and too much going on at work. Trying to focus on just getting the truck back on the road at the moment.

Still having problems trying to flare these Kunifer pipes, I've tried 2 flaring kits now, once which I purchased and one I borrowed and both have been unsuccessful at creating a flare, I then employed the help of the local motor factors here in Warwick who said he would be able to do it "no problem"...... he failed. Trying a new place after work tonight, all I'm saying is I'm glad how much extra pipe I left at the end of each line as we've had to chop and start again so many times now :doh

Should be getting my new Rivnut stuff soon which I'm going to use to secure the "P" clips I'll be using to secure the new fuel lines, I'll be using the existing route and some of the old mountings however in some places I feel like some new clips are needed and I have snapped off 2 bolts into the chassis which are impossible to remove in the position they are in.

I was crawling around under the truck last night, the tank is still out at the moment but ready to go back in with brand new rubber pipes all around and new jubilee's and fuel hose clamps.

Whilst the tank was out, I'd noticed at how thin the existing layer of Waxoyl was around the area and how there was nothing in some areas. I found about 2l of Waxoyl left from the last time I did the truck but it had dried up a little and was very hard, I warmed the tin up and mixed in a little white spirits and stirred it up until my bicep nearly popped :lol Managed to get a nice consistency and applied it liberally to the hard to reach areas.

Next job is to get the tank back in and connected to the Fuel Lines, once that's done and it's moving under it's own steam again I'll be taking it to be steam cleaned then leaving it to dry for a few days then back on the drive for the rest of the Waxoyl :naughty

I'm going to use 10 litres I think so need to buy another tub of Waxoyl, seems expensive for what it is when you're at the till and I always feel ripped off but when you weigh the price up compared to that of failing an MOT, fabbing metal, getting it welded etc it's worth every damn penny :naughty

I'll keep at it I promise

Stick in bro!

Word of advice with the rivnuts be careful when using the tool and bear in mind you don't need to squeeze too hard as I've managed to snap one of the threaded bits (one of the smaller ones) just from the force you can exert although I suspect there was possibly a flaw in the bit :nenau

Strong wrists eh :naughty

Mate, have you tried heating it up before you flare?, heat up till a bit red then allow to cool slowly, do not quench in water as that may toughen it!

Dirty thread hello :D
MOJO s are tricky things to keep hold of, a bit like brownie points, they seem to have a variable shelf life :augie
Don't panic and ofcourse don't give up. I lost mine for a while last year . Luckily I found it again and then some. You just need a bloody good slap , a few days easing up on old Mary J and a deadline
Deadlines work for me :lol
Crack on mate :naughty
