Bumper Re-Coloring

The bumpers were becoming very faded on the car and still are, I have yet to find a permanent solution without painting them

I initially used a heat gun which warms the oils up in the plastic and temporarily brings it back to the surface

I've used the autoglym stuff and that lasts until the next downpour of rain and if you do manage to obtain a stint of sunshine it bleaches the bumpewr even whiter :doh

The best and cheapest option I've found so far is rubbing smooth peanut butter into them with a microfibre cloth, I have also found that the smallest amount of WVO on a rag does the trick too but not too much to leave a visible residue

MOT Time

With last years MOT creeping up on me I decided some bits needed some TLC

This for one had been annoying me forever and I kept having to re-tape it to get the car to start :doh

I managed to find an old positive jump lead that had knackered ends and cut a nice piece of cable to suit, twined the copper cable together, soldered in place and used some of the heat shrink tube to keep it in place and then tapedfor extra security and a nice new brass terminal that bolted straight onto my shiny new battery terminals

New upper and lower ball joints fitted and a CV Boot as the one on there had a split

And a new pair of boots to replaced the worn fronts

FIXED

But what did you do to fix it?

I have changed the bush in mine, twice, taken off the damper, replaced slave and flexible pipe, and had the whole assembly out to check for cracks, flushed it all through, but still it fails to return to the top.
