Your trucks looking well. My Clutch pedal sticks too, if someone can have a go and give me an idiots guide I'd appreciate it please.

It is possibly the bush, if you can get hold of one, it's an easy fix Jim. If you lived near me, I would have a look for you.

Banshee, that's what my UJ looked like, it's so much nicer once it's done.

Clutch Pedal Bracket Disaster

So I was sitting at the traffic lights on the bite point when there was a massive clunk underfoot and the pedal went all limp

Nursed it home and it appears that the nut had worn through the bracket

Had a rummage around a few pots in my mates workshop and found a nice washer that would fix the hole :thumb2

Fuel Filter Feed and Return

Given the amount of potential fueling issues these trucks can get I decided on the advise of others to replace the feed and return on the filter housing for some food grade 8mm ID plastic piping, perfect for running veg :sly

Gives a nice clear view of whats going on in the fuel lines

Commence the commercial conversion!!!!!!!!

I'd been toying with the idea of a commercial since I'd brought mine and was a little gutted that I hadn't been able to find one. On the other hand I was worried that I might need all of my seats so opted for a standard SWB.

Looking at the commercials, many of the examples I'd seen had been utter workhorses and had seen better days. Rotten underneath, battered inside and mechanically shot too.

After owning mine for almost 2 years now (I think) I've probably used my rear seats 3 times and 70% of the time they were down and the load cover was in the shed

So I decided I was going to turn mine into a commercial :clap

Sourced some Window Boards from James from a Red flood damaged commercial he had in the barn;

I also took the floor boards out of it but they were manky and I decided that I was going to get a new one made by a good mate of mine

Old ones in situe being measured for extra length to make them snug

Roof Lining

So the weather is getting better and the nights are drawing back out so when I'm on my early shifts at work i'm going to get on with cleaning the truck as the majority of the mechanical work has been done now apart from mods which are ongoing.

I thought today that I'd start by ripping the roof lining out and making it look a bit better as mine is riffy with marks that pre date me owning it and some that I've made

Cleaning was not an option so I opted to remove it and spray it with some Matte Black spray paint

Not sure if I've made a mistake or not :nenau but I'll find out when I refit it tomorrow however, I've ran out of paint so it will stay in the mrs shed until I finish it in the morn

lining removed

I feel honoured that Pete wants to steal my idea :)

It'll be fine, let's face it how many times do you look up at the roof lining?

Depends how many girls I pick up that week lol

Ah fair enough didn't realise

Here's the finished product, going to let it dry and then put it back in later on

Only problem is now, the grab handles, sunroof blind, sun visors are all that horrible beige colour and will need doing as well but given that these are in constant use, I'm worried about just spraying them in fear they will go all flaky and horrible :nenau
