Well it looks a lot better than I thought it would, actually it looks great :clap:clap

It really looks the part... nice and Meaty, just like a Troll should be..

Are you going to do the back??

No rear is heavy enough as it stands and not looking to do the sort of stuff I would be doing with a dedicated non road going 4 X 4, getting too old for all that but just want to keep my hand in, Rick

Picked up my last two tyres and wheels today, Mitsubishi alloys with two as new insa turbo special track 2 31x10.5xR15, already had the Mitsi nuts as had Mitsi wheels on my old motor, which by the way is now shod temporarily with my dumper tyres and had front and rear bumpers removed together with the towbar ready for Slindon on Sunday, I will start a new thread for that, with plenty of pics, Rick

I have hit a small snag, the terrano wheels with the Malatester Kobra's on will not fit the front hubs so they will have to go on the rear and hopefully the Insa turbo's will go on the front, not ideal but at this short notice not much else I can do, Rick

If the wheel is a steel one why not just open up the bore a bit ?
Metal blade on a jiggy would be good enough , then tidy up when time permits.

My thoughts exactly, might even have a metal hole saw that size, certainly do not like the current wheel/tyre configuration, only got a grill to sort tomorrow so should have time to play, Rick

Trouble with hole saw will be getting the bugger started. Wheel and tyre bound to be too big for a pillar drill. Good luck I'm sure you'll win ☺

I was thinking of a metal bar across two bolt holes to center it and cut from there, but if not a jig saw will do, Rick

New snorkel, going to sort the air box today as just found a nice bit of pipe to do the job, Rick

The nice bit of pipe turned out to be zinc so no good, cannot weld it, so had a fall back from a shop long roller blind so cut a bit out and started playing, as it was too big in diameter had to reduce it a bit, this is how it looked prior to welding

Sorry forgot interim pic but this is it in position, had a lot of problems welding as the pipe turned out to have overlap joins that were soft soldered, yes soft solder, I would have gone for something else if I had it but was all that was available, the solder evaporating played havoc with the welding but it is done now, have to admit I covered the welds with Pink Grip, to make sure there were no pin holes to let water in

Got my new rear wing during the week, now I have to find the best way to fit it, if I try to mig it I think there will be too much distortion, not sure if I can get a spot welder in till I cut the old one off, pop rivets and filler are a possible option, any expert body fitters on here? Rick
