Just need to find a place for the plate, are you allowed to bend it or has it got to be flat? sensible suggestions please.

Still got to do the top and end caps but need to get to Eastbourne to get it bent and maybe welded on the angle as well my mate does it professionally and can polish the weld as well, also need an eye for the hook, I am pleased with the result what do you all think? Rick

I like it Rick. You've done good :clap
The number plate I wouldn't worry too much about. I've seen them stuck all over the place. Seen them bent too.:lol

Bloody good effort sir.

My only concern is blocking the air in.

Hi,

Looks really good, very no nonsense.

Bet your looking forward to giving it some use.

Bloody good job that Rick! :clap

As for the number plate, you could have it off to one side, Alfa 156 style.

You could have it up high... If you make a roof rack.

Or old sports car style with a bonnet sticker.

Loads of options! :naughty

Thanks Jay I like the bonnet sticker, any place on the bumper it will get damaged when I brace against a tree, Rick

it'll spoil the symmetry if it's on the bumper.
Sticker version on the bonnet then (if they're allowed)? :nenau
Did you have much trouble getting that into position for fixing Rick?
That looks bloody heavy!:)

No was quite easy really, just built it up as I went, but yes a heavy lift at the end of the day, but it just slotted in, going to enquire if I can get stick on plate, if not then I will put one each side with a bend in them, as not got a long enough flat section, thinking I might put a pair of marker poles on the extremities for parking, Rick

Yes, parking poles! That's another reason I like my dual antenna setup! :augie

Yep, like Jays idea, but a couple of rubber duck anntenae should do the trick and look good too.:thumb2

My front number plate is a sticker one, there's a nice section for it at the front of the Y60 bonnet cover.
