I got a two gallon pot and use Silica Sand (Kiln dried block paving stuff) yes I know it is frowned upon, but the proper stuff is far too expensive and not so easy to get hold of, pot takes two 40 Kg bags and does not last long, but sweep it up and sieve it to re use via a flour sieve, I sieve even out of a new bag as been cought out, does need lots of air thou, ceramic nozzles are a must, Rick

Maybe if you have a minute, could you do a "how to" on the grit blaster :thumb2

Just google Clarke gritblaster, £153 inc vat, and grit at £7 ish per 700g which is about 12 times the cost of kiln dried sand, happy blasting, Rick

Ah ok, I thought it was something you'd made.
Cheers Rick, I'll have a spy :thumb2

You'll soon have that muddy again Rick from what I experienced first hand :lol :thumbs

Mot mot mot mot

Well surprise surprise passed MOT today with no advisories, :clap:clap:clap, Rick

No surprise, that old 20 quid note on the seat trick eh :lol

Absolutely, but I have a very solid Patrol here and want to keep it that way so there will be fairly regular hits with Mr sand blaster and then the Shults spray, interesting that although the extra strong springs have lifted the front it is still a little shy of the stock 550 mm centre hub to metal wing, must be my winch bumper, I have yet to check the rear and as yet have no dimension to refer to but am sure it is sagging so think I will be looking for replacement springs for the rear as well, have to say it rides much better, especially over speed humps, Rick

I know spring suppliers also have assorted spring packers. Different thicknesses to suit each corner etc
I'm sure you can knock up something to try out:thumbs

Nah tired 20 odd year old springs should be retired (like me) and new ones to take their place, Rick

Well it has been a good thread but I think now should be closed, Rick
