Bumper off wings off, angle grinder with wire brush. It'll take all the loose off. Good coat of fertan. Cut the crap out from the front panel. Replace with good metal using your welding skills. It'll out last the rest of the truck:thumbs

please help me

The drivers footwell is saturated, I've taken the access panels for the wipers off and temporarily sealed with loads if silicone but I don't think that will help as there are two square holes in between them anyway. I'm getting worried about it now, done loads of searches but I'm running out of ideas now :(

I had a water leak into the drivers footwell with the project truck. Found a couple of sources.
A dodgy repair to the wheel arch bulkhead area. I just got some tiger seal and smeared it over the area, think I needed to unbolt the servo and move it over.

Also the grommet where I think it was the speedo cable went through had been messed about with when a cruise control was fitted so that got a good coating of tiger seal around it.

I've seen the pics of footwell before you repaired it, It was a mess, exactly what I'm trying to avoid.

Hi,

Sure I have read on here about front mud flaps filling up with muck, you can see it when you open up the front door and look at the bottom of the wing. Believe this can stop water draining and it ends up entering the car footwell.

Mines still full of welsh mud, and it was shortly after the Wales meet that I first noticed it, I'll give it a jab with a screwdriver :D:thumb2

I did mine awhile back, was amazed at how much crud, leaves twigs and feathers they can hold.

Forgot about that one, rinse both sides out with a hose pipe. Open the door stick hose behind lower hinge.

Weld it up T-Doug:naughty
What square holes do you mean:nenau

Below the plastic scuttle panel there are some big holes to get to the wiper linkages, think there are drain holes for the wiper linkage box. It's tother side that has an inspection panel that leaks into the heater box.

Ah I see, I haven't found that yet!!

I've found the leak, it's coming in through the boot!!
Because of the angle it's parked at the water is running from the boot down the channel that the wiring is in (from front to rear) and pooling in the drivers footwell :D

Where abouts on the rear door T-Doug?

Seems to be getting in at the bottom right corner as you look at rear of truck, although I think it would be both corners if it were parked level. The rubber seal around the door is wet the whole width of the door!

It's something I've had trouble with before but thought I'd sorted it temporarily, I even have some spare seals I got from Rick ages ago but haven't fitted so it's my own fault, I'm p1553d off enough to sort it now though, looks like point 1 to Doris eh :D
