I wish someone had done the same on mine, started the n/s sill and arches yesterday, three twats with the tapping stick and half the truck was laying on the floor, and I could see my boot carpet :doh, having almost a full day on it today though :thumbs:D

:clap hats off to you Doug :bow

:lol the Trol could do with a bit of a wash to get the dust off but inside the wing wasn't me, it looks like a previous owner has at some point painted old oil or something similar as a preserver in there

Its actually very expensive dinitrol rust preventer not oil, and you are going to find it everywhere and i mean everywhere in all cavities.

Weekend's work...

Roof bars and hi-lift jack mounts on

Ultimately I'll get a roof rack to bolt on next to the hi-lift mounts.

Also finally got my bluetooth dab stereo fitted

With full hands free

An altimeter, that truck is cool as hell and I can't wait to see it matey boy :thumbs

Altimeters appear non working.
I had one in the Paj, and realised you have to get over 900ft for it to kick-in.
Set it to zero and you might have a high spot around you that'll get it to move.
(What am I saying, you live in Scotland doh).
Mine worked brilliantly in the Alps, and was as accurate as my GPS.
:thumb2

Take a drive down to the coast to re-set it to sea level... :augie

So as you'll have seen from my post on the Wales Weekend thread, my alternator went :( the night before I left to come back :doh

Drove home with a battery swap part way then ordered an updated HD unit from NZ (seems to be the place for Safari 24v parts :nenau)

Old alternator, a 35 amp unit (equivalent of a 70 amp 12v one)

New uprated alternator, a 50 amp HD unit (equivalent of a 100 amp 12v one) Definitely run the 24v 17000lb winch better than the stock unit :naughty

Oi! I've fitted plenty parts myself before you cheeky bugger  the whole suspension lift on Foxy, glowplugs, EGR blank and turbo adjustment, catch can, winch bumper and winch, rock sliders... to name a few. The main thing that got in the way before was time and location to do it as Foxy was my daily.

Cheers you fuzzy git :p ;)

Any joy finding your own Trol?

I just keep looking and if something really gets me tickled in the bottom of the stomach then I might start to make things happen :naughty

Maybe I should start to scout for interest for Terrance as he is
