Bugger, gutted for ya! My advise now would be to get it to a workshop, perhaps a TD specialist. If they are a decent garage they should not charge you for finding out whats wrong, only the labour and parts to fix it. Once you know for sure you can then make your financial decision. Thats the...

Ooooo not good! :doh Before you jump to conclusions, is it fitted correctly, no air leaks etc loads of blue smoke says to me oil is getting past the seals? Thats what I was told last time one of my turbos went smokey

So my mate says, and he knows his stuff on these. Will be getting 31's for this winter tho. I've been looking at lift kits from the states as i regularly import car parts for my business. Seen a nice sky-jacker kit with all the extra bits to keep the geometry right KBEKL - Thats a cherokee not...

What are you on about it fell over? DAVED - Yes I have plans, I wanted a live axle on the front with coil springs so sold the Mav and the mighty Sam to buy the cherry. Plan to lift it a modest 3" with some 33" tyres, rubicon style front bumper, swing away rear wheel carrier and...

Indeed you are right! When I drowned my sammy the only part that died was my starter motor! Had to replace it with a new one. It is also recommended to extend all of the cars breather pipes and locate them into your snorkel :thumb2

Not Terrano but still Nissan - 2.0 turbo diesel problem

Many minds attacking the same problem stand a good chance of solving it... one mind often stays focused on the wrong thing leading to no solution! :thumbs I genuinely have no idea when it comes to modern ecu controlled engines, gimme an old motor any day! All I know is most of the guys I used...

PS - If you decide you dont want your tyres, I know of someone who will have them for more than you paid ;)

    just bought some tyres

That'll be the 40" tyres and massive suspension lift you were telling me about... 200hp, 40" tyres and extreme angles on allsorts of parts is bound to only lead to one thing! I have a mate who is known as a bit of a Jeep guru and he has plans for mine. Apparently with a 3" lift and 33's they...

    snorkel diy

This problem has been sorted by most safari-style snorkel manufacturers in quite a clever way, but I notice for the Southdown products this is not the case. The Air-Flow snorkel that is on my old Samurai has a forward facing intake with vents on the lower section. This allows rain to hit the...

Not Terrano but still Nissan - 2.0 turbo diesel problem

Nope, unplug the maf no difference. Could that be an issue? My diagnostics guy didnt think so, he unplugged it and said try it for a while see if theres any difference  There wasnt which is why i'm looking at the V.S.S, it was the only thing showing up on the diagnostics. Reset the ECU...

Problem with clear pipe, you suck in all sorts of dust and it dont stay clear for long! The one I made had clear pipe but six months after it was dust coloured  That could be a plus point to a filter on top of the snorkel... The diahatsu air filters are trick things anyway with a...
