The patrol will still be about, especially on green lanes, its gone to a new club member, Andy, who came with us on the Notts run with Dinky. I know he has plans for it. Hes a convert from landies.

See you all soon, I still have the Mav and intend to use that again on the gentle lanes, but Stanage too rough for my ground clearance.

Not heard from Nellie in a while, I know MOT was due on her, but not sure if sold or not. Nellie would be ideal for me, but too expensive at moment untill fully settled into new job and wages.

To answer the earlier question, where is Stanage Edge?

To drive 'up' Stange, the route starts at Dennis Knoll at SK227 / 844 and rises up to Redmires resevoir at SK256 / 851.

Certainly not to be driven without a suitable 'spotter' to guide you over the rocks.

Drove it at the weekend with one of our other clubs (organised by Doodlebug, this eldest lad and me) - great fun ....... but still a challenge

i will be up for this if another date is sorted, went there foolishly on my own and had to reverse down as didnt want to risk getting stuck

Good pics, been up that far in the Mav and been down that far in the Patrol. Can't commit to it in the Mav as its not suitable. Bidding for a Patrol on E bay so maybe soon.........................

got front wheels up on the big 1st rocks you can see at front of car in middle pic, but just as the back wheels started to climb the towbar caught at back and stopped me :x think it would have made it, not sure. booked in for 2 inch lift and 33's in a couple of weeks, should be alright then :smile: hope you get patrol mate, there is some competition for them tho at the moment
