Weird!!! Did the noise deffo come from the rear? And what was it like?

It sounded like something hitting bodywork. More of a thud and nothing else. That was the only reason I stopped and had a look round. The diff had definitely not been leaking before because I'd have noticed the oil covered rear door and spare wheel. Even the towbar was covered.
It wasn't leaking from the diff plugs either.
Stumped atm

So, I decided to strip out the interior and remove the carpet as it was wet in places. Out came the side panels and other trims around the edge of the carpet. Seats out and the rear section of carpet.:thumb2 Floor looks nice and solid:D

Front seats next then the radio and facia to allow me to remove the centre console around the gear selector and handbrake. More trims and out came the front half of the carpet.:clap
Gave it a hoover out and bolted the seats back in as I need to use it at the weekend. Put the radio facia and radio back in too, but that was it. Now to source the water leaks.... Front passenger footwell was wet so will reseal the wiper access plate.

One thing I did find odd were spacers on the rear mountings on the drivers seat but none on the passenger side:nenau
The CD changer is under there and was wondering if it was to give it more room?

Seats back in. Now noticed, looking at this photo, a gap between the seats at the top? Sure it wasn't there before:nenau

Woah man, is that what happens when you get bored :lol

Yeh that gap don't look right, like the inners are too high or outers too low?!, I can't remember from when I did mine, are they bolted on top of carpet?

No T-Doug. You can see on the first photo where the carpet is cut round the mounts? There definitely is no spaces cos there are barbs on the front mounts that hook into the floor between the fixings:nenau

Did you fold the tie down points down :nenau

Two silver hoop thingys that fold up and down, can see em in first pic, its a longshot but you never know!!

Could be they aren't sat right in one of the fastenings or clasps?

Gotcha T-Doug. Yes I'll have a butchers tomorrow:thumb2

Checked out the rear seats and they are fitted correctly and there's no other way so I can only guess they were like that before?

Carpets out was the last job. Still driving it without and I think it's affecting my hearing! Whaaaaat?
Before they are refitted I have ordered bits and pieces to fit an auxiliary fuse/relay box, 1 in the engine bay and the other in the boot, so need to run the cables through.
Then I have the body lift. :naughty

AND I've picked up a roof rack. Another job added to the list:clap
