Well before I can make a start on rock sliders I'd better fit this I had delivered yesterday:naughty 20160928_073603.jpg

You'll also want some brackets to bridge the gap so you can fit your front bumper back on, I'm in the process of making some new ones as mine are crap :(

Make sure you take the bumper re-enforcer off before you jack it up too otherwise you'll hear a lovely crushing sound as you jack :lol

Lastly, undo the pinch bolt on the input shaft of the steering box drivers side before you lift, once you've lifted re attach, or this will happen!!!!

You'll need an extra donut too (rick should be able to supply) and some longer nuts and bolts to compensate for the lift

Thats how it should look :thumb2

Lol. Thanks for the much needed info. :thumb2
I'm now thinking I should send it to you and pick it up maybe Friday? :nenau
Yes. Just 2"

Morning ladies gentlemen. I've had severe squeaky belt since our Wales weekend. Not good at 6.30am. Only lasts for no more than a minute but need to sort it.
I've tried an aerosol spray called "belt dressing spray" and stopped instantly by squirting a tiny amount onto the top pulley. There's only 1 belt, that I can see, so I'm thinking I need to replace it.
Next to no room behind the rad so I'll take whole lot off so I can check out everything. The air con has never worked for more than a week and would like to bypass it but if it is only 1 belt is it even possible?
I can check the other pullys too as well as the adjuster.
These bloody 3ltrs! Who'd have one..... :lol

Glad it's of help bud :thumb2

Oh it is Rob:thumb2. I'll change the belt like you did and see what happens.
It's the first time I've used the search button. :clap
Did we not discuss the amount of fan cowl you had.
More space between engine and rad so you could fit in a 6 cylinder?

Yeh, some day I'll use up the space with a 4.2 6cyl ;)(although I believe a chevy v8 diesel fits quite nicely and the Trol 3.0 gearbox can handle it fine :naughty).

Terrano won't be quite as spacious!

Replaced the auxiliary/drive belt today. I got the new belt from my local Euro Car Parts and it was labelled up as a Toyota belt? I had another read of Robs (Barbeast) post and managed to get the old one off after removing the lower section of fan cowling.
The adjuster moved, as Rob said it would, but didn't move back when I released it? So I assumed it wasn't actually adjusting. :nenau
I removed the adjuster and found each end had worn to an oval:doh but still worked ok. Removed the rubber seal, cleaned and regreased. Checked the bearing for play and it is fine and spins freely.
So I need to either replace the 'shock absorber' part of the adjuster or rebush it as the bushes rattle around in the alloy part of the absorber.
I've a 4x4 breaker not too far away so I'll stick in a list of parts to them.
The new belt has cured the squealing anyway:clap

All in good time Zac, all in good time[emoji38]
I'll have those spacers for the bumper done this week, drop me a PM with your address and I'll get them up to you unless you want to wait until we go Cannock?

Cheers zac. I'm going to get the missus another car before I do the body lift. She's needing an auto, which is why she's using my truck:( I'm looking but as yet found nowt.
Therefore, I'll pick em up with the rims/wheels when we do cannock.:thumbs

So I've finally bought my good lady wife a car so she can not ever never drive my truck again:clap

Intentions were to get the body lift done asap and then sort the exhaust that fell off on the way to the Wales meet.

The car I bought the missus was 70 mile away. Would you believe there was a thump about 50 mile out that sounded like something bouncing off the roof. Stopped in a layby and had a crawl over the truck only to find oil dripping off the rear diff:eek:
No idea what the thump was. Maybe something kicked up underneath? didn't see anything in the road or fly up off the car in front. Decided it was the good lord knocking on the roof to tell me to pull over and have a look about, discovering an oil leak:lol
No nasty noises for the rest of the journey there. Parked up and left it for half hour and there was a patch about the size of a 50 pence piece. Had a poke and a prod and decided to drive it till it broke:doh or I got home.
Thought it best to let Julie drive her new car home as I was concerned if the diff seized, she might freak out. More likely not notice anything and bury the pedal in the carpet:lol

Usually have tools in the truck, so could of removed the fill plug and squirt some oil in but today it was empty!

Anyway, got home without obvious problems. Found the rear door and bumper covered in spots of oil. I conclude the thump is linked to the oily mess but fail to understand why yet?

It'll sit on the drive till I finish work next week and then off to my brothers garage to drop out the diff I suppose. I'll give the diff a wash tomorrow and see if I can see where the leak is and order seals to replace.

It'll be a challenge if nothing else. Some quality time alone, just me and my truck:D

Oh yikes man :doh Do you want me to see how much I can get you a rear diff for?

You'll be the first person I've known kill a C200!!! You may as well look at switching for an older H233 cast diff they are way stronger, I'm doing that mod when funds allow

I've been abusing it I reckon:nenau the worn mud tyres on greasy roads have been much fun:naughty. I'll take a look and see today but it got me home with no nasty noises.
I'll give you a shout if I've mullered it.:thumb2

Gave the rear diff housing a clean up. Got rid of quite a bit of crusty stuff, washed it and wiped it clean. It took just short of a litre of oil so at least it didn't run dry.
Went for a drive, used about £50 of rubber off the rear:sly, to get it warm and back home to inspect. Not a drip?:nenau
Do you think it could have built up pressure on the journey and forced out some oil. I must admit, I didn't check the breather.
