Plate on chassis looks beefy mate :thumb2 Did you have to do the other side too?, and is there plate on the other side of that piece or wasn't it that bad.

That was the only patch needed. It was a 3mm flat offcut I found:thumbs

It's not as bad as it looks underneath. Just crusty and orange. Done plenty of cleaning and painting but still loads to do:thumb2

Now that is bang tidy! :thumb2

Today I refitted the front section of carpet and trims.
I also filled the switch blanks where the power windows are on other models with rocker switches.

Using these waterproof connectors

Fitted a combination usb and socket in the rear of the centre arm rest.

Cut out and folded a plate to fit in the cubby hole where the bottle jack used to live. This will have a relay and fuse board to power stuff:lol not sure what exactly but I've ran wires from the arm rest switches to this area.

Right Ian, you got my attention :thumbs

What's all the switches for, nice and neat.

What's all the electrickery stuff that you are mounting on the plate.

Are you fitting a second battery too.

Thanks Jim. They were not my 1st choice of switch but they were the correct size and fitted well :thumb2
I have a roof rack to modify and fit and have a pair of led lights to mount on the rear. These will be switched and possibly connected to the reversing light too. Not sure
about that yet.
I've also got a couple of led strip lights to mount either side of the boot area. These will be switched in the boot area but ran off the board.
I have an inverter that I'd like to hard wire in too.
Just keep having ideas:doh
4 switches will probably not be enough:lol

I've borrowed lazy ferrets idea for the auxiliary relay/fuse board. He done a great write up in his thread.

Did think about a second battery but there's no room under the bonnet and I don't fancy it inside.
There is more room underneath now though, after the body lift:naughty

That's great, I really must get my project threads updated so you can see what I've been doing. Got a black plastic box from maplins in the boot area of the original project truck. Rear roof lights are switched and also via reverse lights. Of course being the earlier truck the second battery is on the ns in er wing.

Yes Jim, update your threads. I enjoyed reading them.
It's great to see someone do a mod you'd like and know it works before getting started. :thumbs

Working night's this week and managed to get in a couple of hours homework.
Took a while to cut out the hole for the relay board.

Let the wiring commence

The yellow wires are a supply to the switch side of each relay

Then a feed from the remaining fuses to each relay

Wiring finished and ready for install. The tails are labelled so I know which relay are in use. There's 2 relays per plug.

I'll get this fitted over the next couple of days and then it'll be roof rack I reckon:naughty

Fitted the board but haven't made the live connection yet

Also fitted 2 rocker switches for internal boot lights and external work lights

Cheers guys. It's one of them jobs with no rushing involved :thumbs

Wish I could stick a second battery on a 3.0litre so I could transfer all my electrics from the project truck. Mind you after what I discovered today with the wheel bearing and hub a battery is the least of my worries.
