I've just looked again and noticed that the Slave Cylinder in the old axle appears to be slightly larger and the insides of the shoes look a little different.

The size difference in the drums that I had on my Maverick compared to the Terrano ones isn't something you'd miss, the hubs are way bigger on the C200 axle than the H233's are :thumb2

I seem to remember bigbunny finding something about brakes being different. Also don't forget earlier trucks had a load sensing valve but not sure how much difference that would make. It'll be great to see the completed job. That axle looks nice and clean now.

Axle out without too many dramas. 3 bolts snapped that pins the handbrake cable to various places.
Now attacking it with a wire brush.

The brakes are the same size at least.
The rear brake pipe is a single feed that t's to each wheel with the same fitting and bracket as the replacement.

Good man!!!!! If I had a garage like that at my disposal I'd half consider jacking my 9 to 5 in and making some decent cash :(

Is the new suspension going on too mate?

Ah yes. The suspension....... No......
It turned out to be home made spring spaces and shock spaces.
Not the way I want to go so I'll be getting the body lift done after the axle and diff is sorted.
Then we'll see :thumb2

I am extremely lucky to have such a lovely younger brother who lets me make a mess and use all of his tools and welders and lift and kettle:D. Had the place to myself today till half 4. Tomorrow he's helping, so I imagine he wants me out:lol

He told me today he's bought me something but I've to pay for it?
A set of alloys off a Mitsubishi something with new all terrains and 35mm spacers :nenau
We'll see:lol
I'll have more wheels than I can shake a stick at:cool:

:lol nice one, Rick had mitsi wheels on his for the wales meet I think.
How's it gone today, I've been thinking about you :kissy

It's gone well T-Doug. I wasn't expecting to drive home in it today and I'm spending all day there tomorrow too so may even have it back on 4 wheels tomorrow night :thumb2
Found a hole in the chassis that I made a plate for and welded in.
Going to give it more wire brush action and a paint up and then hopefully get the axle in:thumbs
Oh yes. Have 10 rubber bushes to press out to make room for the poly bush kit
Best get the hang of the old fly press pretty quickly:eek:

That workshop is a fantastic facility to have available, lot's of envy going on here. :D

It's great. My brother is a fabricator, specializing in stainless, so has his welders set up one end. In the middle are 3 bike benches where he works on his own bike and takes on mot preparation and repairs, and then there's the car ramp at the other end. This week I've managed to spread terrano parts right the way through:lol

I'd like to see the bike he fabricates from the Terrano bits :lol:lol
