You can see the points on mine you may want to take action on before they get bad on sat. :)

Your getting there

Oh and thanks xr6r for the kind comment. She is a looker.
Im on a mission to get her sorted by May as the daughter has made it quite clear that she wants to arrive at her prom in the Patrol as she thinks its better than a hired limo:D

My kind of lass :thumb2

Popped over to meet Fez today and buy some bumper mounts. It was a nice drive out and I would never have found his place without the spanner nav:) .
Had a good chat about the patrols. Hope we can do some laning when mine is back on the road. Thanks again Fez

Seeing as my air con packed up before I even owned the beast, I think I may aswell remove the rad for it. Which will improve airflow to my mint condition cooling radiater:augie.

Well it's a nice day again so hope to get a bit done today. I'm getting there slowly:)

Doesn't look like I've done much but had quite a productive day. Just wish I could sort my welder out:( think I'll need to get a new one to be honest. Anyway I've prepped and almost finished painting the new bumper mounts, I've painted the rear of front bumper. Also cut the rot out on front panel and attacked the n/s which is solid thank god so no welding needed there. Removed the air on radiator. Refitted bash plate and recovery hook. Although the paint I used on that was s#%t.

The feed wheels are mounted to plastic base plate which is warped and the wire keeps jamming inside the sleeve. My mate who is sh1t hot with welders has spent endless hours trying to sort the welder out since I got it so I'm not holding any hope with it. But we will see.

If it's a decent welder it might be worth buying a new feeder for it.

But if it's jamming in the sleeve it sounds more like the sleeve is fooked.

My mate is having a look at it for me so fingers crossed

As pooped as my radiator is. It turns out that it isn't the rad leaking it's the water pump. Lucky I have a brand new one waiting to go in thanks to Bat 21. On another note I've got the front bumper back together now but no point fitting it as there is still work to do at front end.

Got a bit more done today. Removed radiator and water pump. Also slapped some hammerite on the front end. The body mounts on front panel could do with a bit of plate welding in and now rad is out I have far better access todo this and paint more if the chassis rails.

Here are a couple pics to show front rails which are solid so just a bit of prep then paint and also the inside front panel where welding required.

Help needed please. Taking the water pump apart I noticed that the original pump has bolts built in to the wheel but the new one does not. See pics. Are thee bolts that I need to buy to refit belt wheel and viscous unit?.

All sorted I locked 2 nuts together and the threaded bars came out no bother so now have the belt assembly back together.

got to agree liner/linner (spellings crap) these kink and can get squashed when droping tools on etc also you can adjust the tension on the feed wheels on my welder and those i have used but im on 3 phase/industrial welders at work.
