Looking good, we're both moving in the same direction with these mods at the moment :thumb2

There you go, well done Matey!!!
Great little units these digital gauges....

Well it depends on what you're asking of the motor.
On the flat, in fifth gear at a constant 60 mph I'm at about 300c (12-15psi). Throttle off downhill and it can drop to 150c almost immediately (0-5psi)
Uphill in fourth/third it can climb back up to 400c (17psi Dawes set limit)
The Aussies reckon on trying to keep to 450c tops.
The beauty of these guages is their instant and accurate reading.
No guessing like an analogue needle scale pod gauge.
Hope this helps

Sounds like some good base figures to work with.

Thanks. :thumb2

It's in the ballpark figure wise after the NADS mods, and she drives and pulls really oomphy through the full gear range. I'm happy, but still the exhaust replacement to do yet.
It'll be adjustment time again after that.
The catch can must be doing its job aswell cos she's running on golden oil, not black!!

Having a little walk around B&Q minding my own business when I happened across this little storage box for £1.75

With modifications never too far from my mind, I thought to myself, "This will be ideal!"

:clap

Hi,

Looks alright, actually reminds me of a rectangular top you see on snorkels without the grill.

I need to see the finished product, how do you plan on attaching it to the dash?

You know the rolls that PTFE tape comes in?

I'm thinking one of those.... Done right I'll have a Left/Right adjustment.

Got a little bit of work done in my 'Screen Pod' after work.

To kick things off, I needed to make a support to hold the screen in place. No need for it to be a master piece as it will be completely hidden.

Next, the support was trimmed down to snuggly fit inside the lid of the storage container I'm using.

This was used as a guide to cut the hole in the lid... I made it ever so slightly smaller as a border for the screen. (As you can see in the first pic, the screen ribbon is visible from the front.)

Last thing to do is a quick test fit before securing the surround to the lid.

When I said in my T2 project thread about putting the boost and EGT gauges into a project box, what you've got there is what I had in mind. Looking good mate, I love things that are put together like that. :thumb2
