id travel for the right car, no doubt about it. especially if spending that amount of money.

Drove about 120 miles to get my T2 when I bought it. The drive saved me about 2 grand though so in my estimation it wasn't a bad days work.

saw a cheap terrano this afternoon while driving through ossett near wakefield , was green i think , £1495 . but dunno what reg it was or anything like that , but if its cheap , its probably cheap for a reason , and it was for sale in a garage too

Can someone lock this thread before Briggie gets any ideas :D

If the price is right its worth travelling for, I travelled from Bridge of weir to Durham for my 1998 Trol, 185mls and at £2750 and it was well worth it.
The cheapest I could find close to home was £4.5k

my limit is 100 miles and it would need to be special.... but im never in a hurry if im buying.

i once saw t2 sell for a quid on ebay but it was on some Scottish island. so collection without mot really was not worth it

but id have driven hundreds of miles for your troll at that price . love it

I drove about 60 miles all in all to get mine, cant remember where it was. Was it worth the travel? yeah, at the time it was, despite the issues I have a good motor and got it for £1k and now its certainly worth a lot more than that.

I think also, area dictates price a lot. for example, doon soof, stuff seems much more expensive, than say oop noof. Wales seems in between for some reason, cant think why?!

i'd rather travel 100 miles to get the right car, than travel 10 miles to buy a lemon that tastes like lime.
