Thanks Patrolman, might try my local - my challenge is order - I am currently without car, ideally it would be buy car 1st - find source of VWO - then buy bio diesel processor, ideally this means I can get a Terrano, but if I cannot go the Bio route I really need to be looking for something that does circa 40mpg, which rules out pretty much any decent 4x4. Am hoping maybe an R3MR will be good on fuel, for a 4x4 at least....

We'll have to wait and see what the other 1/2 R3M owners on here have to say, but given its still a heavy old 4x4 and uses the same engine, you're going to struggle to do much better than 25mpg or so in mixed driving.

You don't buy any of these cars for their fuel economy unfortunately.:(

yes I know mpg is not a strong point - but then I spent over £1k onkeeping the Alfa going in the last 12 months. Nissan should be more reliable and I should be able to do most jobs myself, oil changes, basic servicing, glow plugs should all be within reach of my basic mechanical skills. I hate it when you see a car you want and you are trying to justify it!!
Should please the missus, I promised I would get something sensible and economical I she let me get a Kawasaki ZZR600 - I get the ZZR, then followed with a 150 mph Alfa V6!
