Whats the board for?
To block the air intake.
When an engine runs on it can get upto 8000 rpm so something flat and solid that wont get sucked into the engine is needed.

Good advice if you have the presence of mind to use it, Rick
Get your insurance changed over to the 3 litre and give yourself plenty time to fix your truck and take the pressure off

Personally I think I’d be looking at getting your turbo refurbed. As you say a second hand one could be about to give up as well.
I second that Zac.....big time......take some time off the trucks.....they are only machines.....your folks are far more important......:thumb2
Mate get your turbo refurbished. Plenty of good companies out there who do just that for not a lot of dosh really. I had mine done and went 360 bearings while I was at it. On my way to Greece at this moment but will try and find the link before we board.
Thats a very good point Rick i don't know for certain that's what is the cause.First off Zac how do you know it is the turbo? the one I had run away here was the one that dropped the ceramic tips onto the pistons jamming the rings and oil passed the pistons at a rate enough to run on, the turbo went on to another and proved sound, Rick
Thanks RickDead easy to prove, simply remove the intercooler, if that stops it running wild then turbo or oil from rocker cover, if it still runs away then oil is getting into the combustion chamber some other way, Rick
Banshee give AET Turbos a call and they can go through all options with you and what you would want. They can take your turbo and rufurb to your spec.
I'm using AET for my skyline engine.
