I thought it was 80-90 GL4 - that's what the Comma site recommended for me. Just want to check as I was planning to change this at the weekend if the rain could do the decent thing and hold off long enough! Now worried I've got the wrong oil in
Bleeding the old gal dry all round! :lol
The oil I mentioned has been bought for the gearbox alone, got some LS80-90GL5 for the rear diff and EP80-90GL5 for the front diff.
Transfer box, hmmm, I forgot to buy anything for that!
GL5 in the front diff is right isn't it??
i'm mega confuzzled
suppose i better empty my whole car too cos its prob not right, but what is?
This comes out of my ford maverick hand book

Transmission: ESD-M2C-175-A
Transfer box: ESD-M2C 166-H
Front diff: SQM-2C 9002-AA
Rear diff: SQM-2C 9002-AA

I put thicker 80w 90 in my gearbox to try to shut it up and make it last longer in the last few months of its life It did work to a certain degree.
I don'r know what the impact of using a thicker oil is - I did notice sometimes it was harder to get into gear but apart from that I don't know..... I suppose if it had oil throwers like a compressor then that would be an issue - maybe someone here will know :nenau
Personally I prefer to use molyslip, rather than thicker oil.:clap
