Christ:eek: now I'm scared of what mr bodge the mechanic done to mine. The w@@@@r probably put chip oil in it:rolleyes:

ffs! What T2 do you have? Slightly glad I didn't get started this weekend after all!!

I've heard of covering yourself in glory..... :lol

As you have such vast experience now can you do mine? - Only joking! Where are the filler and level holes? I haven't even got that far yet. Did you end up using Comma sx75-90 GL4? that was the only one I could see on their site that met the 75-90 requirement.

Hope you got the Skoda cleaned up, I would have been laid to rest under the garden shed if that was me!!

It is a T2 D4 variant import but exactly the same box and I did use the Comma sx75w 90 GL4. I took it for a good long drive today and glad to report all is well. :clap

The oil drain is at the bottom of the gearbox - you can't miss it - just follow back from where the gearbox connects to the engine and its the first drain plug underneath you come to.

DO NOT remove the drain plug until you are sure you can remove the filler plug ( located in the same position but on the side of the gearbox, on the drivers side ), If you have an issue removing the filler plug and you have drained the box you now have a major problem and stand in the running for the numpty award. :doh
