Iv discovered These box's are completely different to ours at work. these have a cable which drives a selector on the side of the box. Im going to drop the sump sat morn and have a look inside. :eek:

Be carefull that it doesnt snap in the tank. I would take the pick up out of the top and drop a pump in and you can get in there to wipe it out and check for any crap.

I cant see the red being a problem as we are running v8 v6 straight 6 merc engines on them and the injectors pumps etc are the same as the merc road lorrys and we dont get and trouble from them. Red is white diesel with a die in it so it can be seen as tax free. veg oil im not sure as your astra...

Best way only gave up because it didnt like its yearly clean, or maybe it was because it found out i was thinking of getting rid of tailer and getting a truck so would only get a trip to asda once a wk instead of dragging its self inside out. :lol

I had a hand pump so i by passed the filter and put a pipe in to a jug with some fuel in to eliminate all lines from tank and the filter.

I checked that but mine has no filter. I think its a sensor or even the pump that's failed as it was running spot on then out of the blue, smoke no power and warning light. gutted as i had full faith in the good old bus.
