Having a rant

Just thought I would let off some steam at trying to get Nissan parts. Basically it is hard to find them and you need to remortgage the house to buy them from a dealer!:doh.

I went to the dealer to price 2 new NATS keys - all in £180 told him to shove it! Asked about an aerial replacement a month or so ago - £142 +vat - bought one on ebay for £16:clap.

When fitting my new aerial I seen something hanging down from the car - turns out to be the wheel arch liner on its last legs. I thought I'll pin it up with some panel clips - tried every motor factors in our area and NONE had any suitable. Nissan quoted £7 for 10 of them (probably about 20p to make). I was able to source some on ebay for fiver all in for 20.

Now I have to source a wheel arch liner as this on is on its way out. God knows what a dealer will charge for a bit of cut rubber.

As I say, just having a whinge I have never had this much trouble sourcing parts before.

you could always check the Classifieds on here - you might just strike lucky.

If people ever need trim clips just ask, I sell that sort of thing for a living.

I know what you mean, i replaced front anti roll link bars at the weekend, i thought i could do with a laugh so rang the local nissan dealer, quoted £62 + VAT each, i had to check he heard me right, so i got a pair from local motor factors for £29 inc VAT. good job i didn't ask how much fitted.

Dont do subtle - I think i was dropped as a child. If you still have them I would really want them. How do you want me to get the money to you?

I'll have a rant too!

Came back from pompy last night about 2000 ish, 4 hours in the polo inc traffic!

And those bloody areshole neighbours of mine were blaring there music out, so i went round there to have a word and she was as usual pissed off her face and probably whacked up on spliffs.

There both in there late 40's, got left enough dosh for him to jack in building and pay off the mortgage, and now they sell tat in the local market and ebay, they just get pissed and are a total mess.

Last year after getting on at the council for weeks, keeping diarys and calling out the (useless) cops because they tried to stab each other and getting the local MP involved (Mr j.Cox what a LEGEND!) they finaly got off there fat, lazy, pen pushing arses and had a word and gave us some recording equip. some strange reason the music stopped,


Until last night, so i rang the council / enviromental protectian team, who didnt want to meet me or come out, well send out some more forms and re open the case.

The main ssue for me is when i'm away on partol or deployment and my girlfriend is here on her own, she cant be expected to go round to 2 pissed up / druged up loons on her own.

What is wrong with people?

I would love to just go round there and trash the hi-fi and punch the F*&$ out of the husband and give her a good old fasioned back hander.

Unfortunatly we dont live in that type of world any more uness we can go back 20 years (i was only a whipper snapper, but remember seeing my old man fill in next door's old man as he kept getting pissed and banging on our wall with a mallet at 4 in the morning after nocking his wife around.)

If only phil and grant were real!
