    Cheers Clivvy but can you buy the spring and bush? Not using any fluid or anything and damper pipe been blocked off. But would it create enough pressure to push slave a little to slip clutch?

    Not planning on doing it myself Rick, dont have the know how or tools or space..lol. Will do a bit of ringing around tomorrow and report back, there are a couple of good 4x4 places around here but some say very pricey, but you never know i suppose!! Cheers Rich..

    Heater on Mav is shocking, so need to change thermostat. I have seen threads with a different stat of 88 degrees, where will I get one from and with a gasket? Cheers Rich..

    Right guys , had a go at it this morning and got as far as removing the hub!! The track rod is knackered which explains my tyre is as far as I got before whacking it back together aborting the mission..lol Its gonna be a ball ache for 1 person anyways, got to seperate the hub firstly then track...

    Not too worried about taking hub apart just drive shafts taking out etc, do you have to remove whole shaft or can you do it with one of them stretch cones and just remove hub and disc? If I have to remove whole shaft do I lose a lot of oil from gear box? and is it a 2 man job so the bearings on...

    Hi is it a TD or TDi model , my mav TD did this when mini filter was blocked wouldnt rev over 3000 revs and top speed was around 60 ish, there is a guide to cleaning it in quick links, plenty of threads about this on here. As I say though might be this if a TD dont think many of us with TDi's...

    Banshee mine did exactly the same thing last night although started in the end, but my starter is new so think my problem maybe ignition switch! If it happens again or if still not starting try wiggling key as you turn ignition, if it starts then more than likely thats gonna be the problem!! Rich..

    My new Mav came with all singing all dancing Clifford system which saved me a whopping £19 this year on insurance!! Pretty sure it would have been mega bucks when fitted so is it really worth it?? Suppose it depends on gear you have inside truck etc? Rich..

    Banshee them brackets are the original ones from my short wheel mav, so must be right the way one faces forward and other to rear!! Didnt know thats how they fit as never fitted them but must be right as came with motor when I bought it!! Looks good though I must admit I wouldnt fancy drilling...

    Several tools broke this last week or so.

    I have a clarke air compressor at about 22 years old ..still fires up but the thread has stripped where hose goes on. Have tried to fix soo many times but refuse to throw it away as I know eventually I will find a solution to get it useable again..lol
