Heater on Mav is shocking, so need to change thermostat. I have seen threads with a different stat of 88 degrees, where will I get one from and with a gasket?
Cheers Rich..

I fitted 88 degree and it made a huge difference but that's not to say that a standard 82 would not of made it better. I can not honnestly say that my old stat was not faulty. It was easy to get hold of, just went to local motor factors and explained what I wanted and why. They ordered one for me job done. I've since found out that Andrew Page's stock both types.

I was only thinking about how nice and warm the car is over last couple days:thumbs

Also don't forgot the infamous Pollen Filter may also be restricting air flow which will also have a similar effect of stopping the heat entering the cabin area.

as above , easily available from local motor factors , they normally come with a gasket , but you may need to trim it , when you take the old one off clean both surfaces with a sharp knife or similar before replacing , you could use a waterproof sealant too .

I fitted an 88 degree in my Spanish Terrano, daughter, who uses it when I'm not in Spain, complained that when doing the morning school run the heater didn't get warm until she'd reached the school, about 5 miles away. Now says it's warm in half a mile or so.
Bought it from a Spanish motor factors, thermostat was fine but the gasket didn't fit, the holes were positioned wrong. Luckily when I lifted the housing the old gasket remained fully intact stuck to the block so I just left it there - been no leak from it since job was done last December.

Thanks for the replies guys, about the pollen filter where abouts will i find that?
