Try your turbo wastegate and see if it is stuck as I have seen that happening - its the lever arm on top of the turbo linked to a bellows and opens at pressure maybe it is siezed open/closed . worth a try!!

8mm compresion joints try your local plumber suppliers as that is where I got mine £1.87 for 2 . used on Gas pipes etc

Mine has done the same as Tims. am going to get 2 compression joints and a straight piece of pipe and cut off the rubber sleeves just above the bend and put a straight piece across - comp joints only cost a £1 each and be cheaper than a new pipe as the rest of the pipe is good.

Only thing with the No plate is it must be lit at night and will fail mot and the POLIS will do you as well unless it lit in someway and readable in the dark

My sump is leaking and as I now have a replacement what is the best way of removing the old sump and fitting the replacement and can it be done in situ as it will be a big job to take the engine out just for that Any suggestions please? (decent ones!!!!!)

Mine just went and did the same so went to plumbers and got a 10mm straight compression joint and cut out the bad bit and put that on - only cost a £1 and 10 mins to put on PS Can anyone tell me how to get the sump off the engine while it is in situ as need to change it cos old one leaking??
