hi, hope some one knows,

whats behind the bumper each side of the number plate, im thinking of moveing my sockets, one each side.

easy to get a hand up behind to rerun the cable, or a total no no..

if you do zippy make sure you have enough slack in the caravan leads. :nenau

ive got loads, need to twist it up a fair bit. other wise it hangs and rubs along on the road. its only realy going up and out a little from where they are by the ball.

i was thinking go for top edge of 'step' bumper though dont think rom for 12 n and s
with spare in place, maybe go euro 13, afterall soon be driving on right when we
get bailed out and its a euro to the quid........

Why do you want to move them?? not a lot of places to put them without them getting in the way or getting damaged.

your welcome to copy my meathod zips

under spare on left hand side of step... but you will fit a double easier on the right hand side of step. easy to do 30 mins and a drill

Did you have to remove the bumper or is there enough space to get your hands up there behind the bumper?

just cut the wires then re feed them into the back of bumper.
basicly just poke them up near door hinge then run along to where you want them push back down , drill holes for wires then push through holes from the back.... its dead simple. its all hollow in there

looks good, at the mo they are getting bent and pulled. so at some point haveing bent them back a few times i think they will fall off. so want to move before that happends.

sounds sinple enough, so will have alook at a weekend..

Zippy if yours are anything like mine they get bashed to bits on each Green Lane trip. Think we had a similar thread a while ago because trex has his mounted on the corner just below the brake light. I do like the idea of the back bumper though.

Yep, very much so. i was thinking each end of teh number plate area, just wanted to know whats behind there befor i started drilling holes in it.

under the brake light i though was a little to far away.. for caravan and way. Extremes is on, bu tmy kids use the step to get in the boot, so it would get bashed more than green laning days,

either side of number plate i felt was best place as its under the wheel and close to towcar so you give that bit more room when walking past.

solid plate behind number plate and access is very limited due to the petrol tank (or diesel) the step works very well i use my truck for logs , kids , dogs and all sorts of crap and never get in the way

you can only do it if you go up by hinge then allong the top and tuck that in and back down and out through the bumper on the step

ah.. will look maybe at the weekend

will also see how long the cables are on the caravan, as thats the limit, unless i start to make longer cables

see where my number plate area is cut. its just plastic up to there then from my bumper up its a solid plate thats the only reason thats still there

Only thing with the No plate is it must be lit at night and will fail mot and the POLIS will do you as well unless it lit in someway and readable in the dark

Suffered that! On my old truck I got a square plate made up which fits perfectly off to one side of the spare wheel, and just put the normal one back on for MOT.

Last time I had to go and buy a set of new plates as well cos the spacing of my lettering wasn't right.....the garage put them on, passed the MOT then threw the old ones away!!!! SOBs!

If you have a problem and require a spare bumper, I've got 1 X SWB old shape and 1 LWB New shape :augie Yes I was a newbie and found out after 3 bumpers which one I needed after a tree won the green lane battle :clap
