Hi all, i came to use 4 low today and was unable to push down the gear selector down to get it in. it seems to go into 4 high as the light comes onto the dash and can feel the front wheels grabbing. any ideas? many thanks,jim.

you can actually disconnect the CKP sensor and it will still start as its for reference only and not signal for injectors etc.

Bet its pump, i have had these codes from day one 18/25 and have replaced CRP sensor and still have these codes come up. the vehicle still cuts out at lights and i now have another pump to get overhauled and fit in the next couple of weeks, will let you all know the out come.:thumbs

no they are not easy to get around as it inhibits the starter and the injection pump solenoid.:thumb2

Has this no transpoder immobiliser fitted? (red dot on key) if so dont worry as they cannot get around that to easily.

Take it back and get the starter changed as it sound like the solenoid has shorted inside.:thumb2

Hi, would any one know how to time up the injection pump on the 2.7 tdi engine? Or is it explained in the download manual, many thanks, jaffa

Sounds like you have an OBD 16 pin socket which you will need diagnostic equipment to read.

Yep sounds like your clutch is on the way out mate, I would get it sorted asap as if it burns out totally your going to be stuck, Trip to the garage for you me thinks.

Tried to clean plate on side but its to faded to make out the number. No i don't use veggie as had some bad experience in the past.

Hi, don't suppose that anyone has the part number for the Zexel tdi injection pump as I'm trying to buy a second hand one to recon. Don't want to take my own motor off the road as its just plodding along at the mo, Many thanks, Jim.

Does it cut out whilst driving along or say when you pull up at lights etc?

Just open a adult only room, it's not as if the site is full of it, just the occasional thread, but it would help with the difference of opinions.
