what 4x4 should i go for

Find a tidy SWB Terrano 2.7 tdi I have found the SWB version of the Terrano excellent, having run various Land Rover products in the past. Plus my wife likes driving the Terrano, and hated the Defenders I had before. Put some decent A/T tyres on and looks the biz... Apart from a heater matrix...

    2004 Terrano Heater Matrix leak

Thanks for advice Really appreciate your help.Going to argue the case with Nissan Dealer first, as the truck is six days out of its used car warranty!!! Has full Main Dealer Service history, and only done 42500 mls. If they are unco-operative, K Seal looks like the answer....

    2004 Terrano Heater Matrix leak

Matrix leak Unfortunately, definitely green anti-freeze all over footwell. Will try a sealant in radiator first, as I think a dashboard out job will be £500 + ???

    2004 Terrano Heater Matrix leak

K seal Does it work permanently, or is it just temporary?

    2004 Terrano Heater Matrix leak

Anyone of you technical bods got some advice for a cheap solution to n/s/f passenger well soaking in coolant? I fear that the matrix is leaking which will involve a visit to my local dealer, to take the dashboard out for repair. Could it be anything else? Many thanks for help....

    Tracking

Pull to left I've had exactly the same problem with my 2004 SWB truck. Fitted 4 brand new General Grabber AT2's and had the tracking re-checked. Now much better, but the vehicle will always pull to the left on any road with a camber. Seems Terrano's are quite sensitive to this?

    Fit a K&N air filter!!

K&N fitment The filter I found fits into the standard housing, but was a fraction longer than the standard cardboard rubbish supplied by Nissan. Does go in with a bit of a squeeze. The international K&N website states it does not make one to fit, but searching in the UK found one listed, part...

    Fit a K&N air filter!!

Well, it improved mpg on my Defender 90 Td5 by about 2 mpg??

    Fit a K&N air filter!!

Just fitted a K&N air filter to my Terrano 2, 2.7 tdi, and performance improvement is immediately noticeable. Part no: E-9251. Bit of a squeeze to get it in, but otherwise fine. Hope mpg improves too...:

air con not working after re gas ????? stumped

Air Con problems A work colleague had an identical problem with his MGZT. After a re-gas, it worked for one day, and then packed up (after a leaking pipe was also replaced) at a cost of £300. Now appears to need a new condensor unit? Could this be the same on your system???

    Wheel spacers.

Wheel spacers 38mm on each side sounds quite a lot, and will definitely put a much bigger strain on the wheel bearings. I would suggest you stay with 235 section tyres, and go for General Grabber AT2's. Just fitted 4 on my truck and they perform really well and are cheaper than BF Goodrich AT's.

    abs light

I have just experienced a similar problem on my 2004 SWB Terrano. Took it to the local Main Dealer (Rowstock Nissan) who soldered in a longer wire as apparently even on new sensor units, the wire is too short? Has worked fine since, with no warning light coming on. Even better, they didn't even...

    Limited Slip Diff?

Thanks very much. I think you're right. Easy to spin rear wheels, particularly on SWB model. Still, enjoying it more than my Defender as it's so reliable and doesn't leak!

    Limited Slip Diff?

Great, will try this. All 4 tyres brand new General Grabber AT2's, changed last week as Duellers expensive and very average...

    Limited Slip Diff?

Thanks for help. In two wheel drive rear wheels seem to be virtually identical rotation on corners. Already got it sideways on a roundabout, (whoops!!!) so will investigate a different oil....

    Limited Slip Diff?

Many thanks. Don't know what oil is in the diff at the moment, but feels like back axle doesn't have a diff at all!! Maybe this is how it's supposed to be?? Very rigid...

    Limited Slip Diff?

Is the Diff on my 2004 Terrano SWB 2.7 TDi a LSD one? If so, can anyone recommend a good Diff oil which is compatible with this model? Thanks!

    Speedo under reading

Sorry folks, meant speedo was over reading, not under reading!!:(
  19. P

    Speedo under reading

Anyone find their speedo is under reading by over 10%? Doing 69 mph when mine reads 80 mph, with brand new tyres!! Apparently according to Main Dealer, this is quite common on Terranos?? Still, on the positive side the 40k recorded miles should only really be 35k!!!!::lol

    painting the underside

Waxoyling treatment I strongly advise a steam clean and waxoyl treatment. If you can stretch to having this done professionally, it will cost about £400 and come with a 5 year guarantee against further corrosion. Try "before n after" in the Midlands or "Rustmaster" in the St.Albans area. Both...
