Is the Diff on my 2004 Terrano SWB 2.7 TDi a LSD one? If so, can anyone recommend a good Diff oil which is compatible with this model? Thanks!

yep front is open diff...
though a few are working on getting a LSD to fit!

Many thanks. Don't know what oil is in the diff at the moment, but feels like back axle doesn't have a diff at all!! Maybe this is how it's supposed to be?? Very rigid...

Thanks for help. In two wheel drive rear wheels seem to be virtually identical rotation on corners. Already got it sideways on a roundabout, (whoops!!!) so will investigate a different oil....

could be tyres.. or the wrong 710 .. cheaper to change the 710

change the 710 after youve warmed up the diff.. few miles will do. then undo the FILLER firt then the drain plug..

Great, will try this. All 4 tyres brand new General Grabber AT2's, changed last week as Duellers expensive and very average...

if its done with the new tyres then its most likly the wrong 710

Good tyres, I have them in 31x10.5 on mine. The LSD in the MkIV is different to the earlier ones.....can't remember what Terra told me it was off now but one of the double cab pickups I think....takes less oil.....the early one was 2.8 litres, think this later one comes in at under 2 litres.....

To be honest you won't notice its effect all that much a lot of the time, with all the torque on tap its a cinch to spin the back if you try...

Thanks very much. I think you're right. Easy to spin rear wheels, particularly on SWB model. Still, enjoying it more than my Defender as it's so reliable and doesn't leak!
