You mean the conrod bolt problems of the D22 not the D40 then. My D40 regularly saw the rev limiter which had been raised 500 rpm in the remap. It's rods remained firmly within the block. :doh The video....

Pump markings. This shows making the markings, but i expect they will already be there in most cases. I couldn't find a pic of the rear mounts, but they are obvious when you look for the bracket to the engine block.

I totally agree. All my mods are declared to insurance company, I even sent them a copy of them by recorded delivery and phoned them to confirm they'd got it. Not that I don't trust them you understand :rolleyes:

It's very difficult to say if in the event of an accident a vehicle inspection discovering a missing arb would lead to the CPS prosecuting you. It would be taken into account along with other aspects of the accident and the likelyhood is that a charge would be brought mainly due to excess speed...

If the width doesn't change too much between the bit you're gonna chop out, seems pretty straightforward. You'll probably have lots of little bits that you will have to reinforce with thin plate but that's easy to cut and shape. maybe even get some glass or perspex cut to make shorter side...

If I was in the market for a Terrano I'd buy the cleanest 2.7 I could find and rustproof it to death with dinitrol. I have worked on all manner of vehicles and one thing is certain, common rail is not the best. All my mechanic friends would agree with that too. I don't know exactly why but...
