Just sat here with a beer looking at my truck and I'm thinking this would be pretty simple, no ?
Remove rear windows, rear door, fuel tank, roof bars, bumper and lights, internal side panels etc, and pull light looms back.
Mark out well ( I'm a joiner, this is the easy part ) carefully make that cut across the roof, down rear quarters and along boot floor. Then cut out the pre marked section of about 600mm
Lift the off-cut back up and prop/support into place. Tack weld, measure, grind, adjust, weld up ! Plate window gaps, fab rear bumper. Possibly refit tank or add internal tank/fuel cell
Bit of filler a good sand and then an over spray and some more light sanding/spraying
I think this would be relatively straight forward ?
