I run on both 100% diesel or 100% svo depending on when & where i am when i need to fill up.!
Thats not self contradictory in my opinoin.?

Although it wouldnt be economical to travel all that way to fill up & then use 1/2 or more to get back.?

Even my 3 year old daughter could work that out...

Quite frankly I'm not looking for a bite or an argument. I find it hard to believe that the issue of being a mod is even vaguely relevant or of any interest and more to the point why it came to mind.

I run my T2 on Veg Oil from Tesco at 85p per litre plus some diesel. Bit better than the £1.07 p/l at the local garages. I don't do anything fancy to the oil, just pour it in.

I to use both diesel 100% or SVO 100% depending on where i fil up :thumbs

If I was to use waste oil would I need to do anything else other than just strain it?

I wouldnt waste my time personally & it wont clean to its origional state... :augie

I've seen all these fan-dangled machines on ebay and the www that processes the WVO but is it really needed?

So there again youve contradicted yourself, you dont really run on 100% svo do you.

Alternate fills, random fills or even mixed fills do not constitute 100% svo and therefore do not give a long term indication of the effects upon the engine and oily bits of 100% svo.

Youre introducing the cleaning and lube effects of the diesel within your use of svo.

Those effects, or the lack of them on 100% svo use are major points of dedate.

Therfore other than "it runs ok on the day the svo is in the tank" you simply cannot say carte blanche that you use 100% svo no problems with further explanation. You could easily be misleading people.

Way back I was told that all TII's could run on svo. Only half the story really wasnt it and a bloody good job I dug further and questioned.

See what I mean? thorough knowledge of subject is required or people will pull you to bits.

Thats fair enough.
But...
The people who do use SVO 100% as in every tank every fill are in a way doing what I'm doing by putting in additives in my opinion...
I might run on svo for a couple of tanks or longer in succession to 1 tank of diesel or visor verser...
But then we're both off topic to the original question...
To which i can only say don't bother as stated above...

well i can see both sides of the argument. honest

and ive learned from it,cos i thought when i filled up with svo i was running on 100% . but as you explained i have not.

so yes i can see that.

but most id say is miss interpretation , and now some poor git has to tidy this thread up


but on the svo side of things ive tried it. not keen on it, but it works.
its good for me when im skint but i wouldn't use it long term
