Heres a subject Im sure will be quite close to many people and isnt vehicle type specific.

Id like a winch , manual, hydraulic or 12v.

However , it doesnt need to be heavy duty , it can not be permanently mounted bumper or rear. It and associated kit (what do I need?) takes up minimum space in the boot :thumb2

I know very little to nothing about whats available but Im sure theres people on here do :thumb2

oh and did I mention must be CHEAP :D

My "winch in a bag" will be ample :thumbs

No experience of the one above but they have a good right up in all the 4x4 mags :thumbs

Bought a 3 tonne super winch off colin which could be tow hitched or permanently fitted (is now)

Used on the tow hitch a few times & worked fine :D

On my front bumper now & has been used heavily with no problems :D :thumbs

Best bit if nobody else coments will be to you tube the one from ebay :thumbs

that one adz had off me was good. perfect for you fixes onto tow ball. all you would need is an anderson plug fitted to the jeep

you still got the bracket adz ?

although giving it some thought the one in the bag would work front and back
but you would want power to both then

the anderson plugs are the bit that will need some tidy fitting though once you have them your sorted for any winch. and many other camping applications

Yeah kept the bracket & I've put Anderson Plugs front & back of the frog & on all my electric gizmos, i.e. winch & compressor :D :thumbs

Its a shade under a tonne

BUT

If its only being pulled on hard ground it will cope with ease

I was only talking about winchs & what they can & cant do to tezzer yesterday :augie

D&G a local recovery firm have 2 tonne winches on all there 7.5 & class 2 lorrys so i take the imput from there boss quite highly.

All winchs are under rated to be safe & most cables are 3 tonne upwards braking strain for when using a snatch block :thumbs

Unless you need 1 to do serious off roading, i.e. through mud where your pulling against dead weight or winch challenge from what I've been told by D&G ( the boss who does 4x4 off road ) He said from 1 tonne to 5 tonne is ample for the average 4x4er used correctly :thumbs
