YES, nice one mate, will be great to meet up again, it's looking like a good un! I've just been on trail wise too, looks like there are enough lanes to have a good meander about on Sunday with plenty of scenery. It's tricky finding lanes that aren't too narrow for Trols tho :lol

There are pre made stone fire pits for people to use and coin operated showers.
Only the first couple of minutes show the campsite but check it out at 3:25, is that sir don of simon I wonder :lol

Edit: bit better vid of campsite, I'll find a link to put up too if people are interested in this one. I'm going to find prices out on tues.

I can't remember the last time I was in Aberdyfi, so it's not me.
This campsite has been on my radar for a while and I might give it a try in a couple of weeks if I do an epic tour of West and South West Wales.

Tdoug, you’ll not get me taking my sensitive trucks down any lanes. I’ll stay at the camp site cooking up meals like this on my single burner.

:lol I'm sure someone will give you refuge in a truck mate, my friend is supposed to be coming on the trip with me but if he drops out (he's a but like that :lol) you can ride shotgun with me :thumb2 also if you wanted to leave you're truck at campsite I suppose it would help control the group size on the road :nenau

I am trying to stress the point however that everyones truck should be able to handle the lanes, they arent all going to be smooth gravel tracks but I reckon most will be quite doable by Terranos, and I definitely will not be egging anyone on to do something they aren't comfortable with naughty:kissy) and like I said the p&p site supposedly has terrain for EVERYONE

Also I've met all the people on the list so far and there are no idiots among them, just good lads who'd happily help out if anyone has any probs :bow I'm not saying no one will take pee though :lol :thumbs

Also there is loads of wreckage scattered about, including B17's, there are plaques to mark some of them. If we keep our eyes peeled whilst laning we might spot some that don't require a 10 mile hike to access :thumb2

When I used to work on Dartmoor properties, we would be treated to VERY low flying Hercs, dropping pallets down to troops on exercise........sort of terrifying and exiting in a strange way.....but incredible machines and pilots.......:thumb2 :bow

All going well, this will probably be my first proper outing in the truck and first time proper camping so it will be a massive learning curve for me and I wont be pushing the truck at all, in fact, I'll probably be scared to get it dirty :lol
So no-one has to worry about what their able to do or not do, you will probably be better off than me as I break down, starve and freeze to death

Just been involved with the Ten Tors Challenge as official 4x4 driver for North Dartmoor Search and Rescue during the two days of the event.
Lots of activity in the air as well as on the ground.
This was a quieter moment...

Martin, this is definitely a date in my diary.
I can probably bring everthing you need, so no need to buy a thing.
You can even have use of my Quasar four season tent for the weekend.
I have a number of military Arctic sleeping bags and bivvy bags.
You need these in Wales even in summer months! Just let me know if youre happy with this and anything else you feel you may need.
You won't starve,(Jim'll see to that by the looks of things), and you definitely won't freeze to death:thumb2
