I'd like to know what you make of KO2s Clive, obviously not immediately but when you guys have done a few miles on them it would be interesting to know if you notice any differences between them and yours :)

You're meant to stay off the centre ruts as a general rule as you're creating another set of tracks, thus damaging the lane but we all do it :doh Sometimes we have to, even me

Did not need to run on the centre hump as did not ground out at all but it was just interesting to be able to do something that I cannot do very well at Slindon and as it was predominantly dry and hard I saw no harm being done, but yes I respect the lanes as all use them unlike Slindon where everything gets churned up, Rick

Been having a bit of a clear up today and found that Scorpian ST, it is 235x75 R15 with 4 mm tread on it, yours for the asking if you still want it Clive

Thanks Rick, but it is all sorted now... Thanks you for the offer...

Had a busy few days on Jiggly..

I made a bracket up to fit between the spare wheel carrier and the door, to mount the PMR aerial on, and while I had the carrier off, I stripped it back to bare metal, rubbed it down, and then Hammerite'd it as it had a fair bit of rust on it.

Ran coax and a few spare wires from rear door, through the door hinge wiring loom, into the N/S rear wing for future expansion.

While the rear door card was off, noticed a couple of broken spot welds, so took it for a run, and sure enough the start of the dreaded high pitch squeak was there. Riveted that back up and squeak now gone.

Sprayed spare wheel cover.

Fitted and wired in rear combination LED roof lights. They have white LED's on a switch for reversing/work lights, Yellow LEDs wired up to a flasher for 4x4 Response work, and red LEDs that come on with the side lights.

While I had the roof lining down, I ran the PMR coax to the front of the car. I just need to wait for some connectors to come so I can finish fitting the radio.

list of Jobs now,

Find Matching Alloy spare wheel
Centre Console lid inner moulding as catch snapped
Boot door carpet Trim panel broken along edge
add second battery
Look into replacing front wing
replace plastic captive nut section for the Sunroof
Keep eye for ally thermostat cap, as this has a plastic one.
Make and fit Snorkel.
Front LED roof bar.
Better mounting for front lower LED spot/flasher bar

you forget I have a console lid, and may have rear plastic trim, if the wheel you are after is 15 then post a pic I may have one, Rick

Cheers Rick, we must pop down and see you at some point, just been so busy here at the moment. The wheels are 16", but I do need the other bits.

just text me to make sure I will be home, you know you are welcome any time, Rick

Sitting in the living room around midnight last night, all the lights turned off, watching the thunder storm out of the rear french windows...

Suddenly there is a continual flashing out the front, the lightning must have carried on for over 2 mins... hmmm... hang on, it's still going on and on... Suz opens the front curtains, and sees the new ultra bright white LED roof lights on Jiggly are going mental flashing on and off....

I go out and have a look, and to disconnect them. Luckily I have not refitted the boot side trim on that side, as I am waiting for some connectors from ebay. I go to pull the roof light relay mounted inside the rear wing, only to discover it was full of water...

Upon further inspection, there is a plastic clip that holds the outer bottom window trim on, that passes through the wing, right above the relay, and water is dripping down that.

So today I removed the trim, removed the 3 clips, and then put them back in with Tigerseal all around them. I then made an aluminium shield to go over the relays to deflect any water should it start leaking again in the future...

there are a lot of leaks on these T2's...:doh

A couple of days ago, after reading "terranosaurusdoug" post on the extra rear lights, I got my backside into gear and fitted a set to Jiggly. My local Motor Factor had a clip in bulb holder for £2.50, but the great thing was, the Terminals were crimp on, so less connectors.

I think the end result was very good, and if you miss the back end of this car, you really do need a Guide Dog.

This is a close up of the roof lights I added the red LED's too.

They look a bit bright in the pictures, but that is actually the camera, you can quite happily stare at them without getting spots before your eyes.

This is with the brake lights on..

Some thing I noticed on the Terrano, is the rear towing eyes are blocked off when you fit a towbar, and after seeing some of the videos of the issues towing by looping the strap over the towball (and that was before "terranosaurusdoug" posted those links today), I wanted something a bit better. I found some bolt on towing eyes on ebay, so fitted them.

I used 1 existing hole on the towbar, fitting a longer HT shanked bolt, and drilled a second hole further up, using the a shorter HT shanked bolt, then repeated on the other side. Very please with the results, as they barely show unless you look for them.

 those lights are epic mate, how long did it take you to do the led's in the roof lights.

The recovery hooks are a good idea, what do you have on the front, I've been thinking of asking a local engineering firm to make me some calmini style ones!

Thank you...

The lights took a fair while, I got them for Suz for Christmas, they did not arrive until January, and they have been waiting for the weather to be OK for drilling holes in the roof for about 2 months...

The tyres came the next day and are fitted..

I'm jealous of the tyres :lol

Got that snow flake on the sidewall too, we might not be getting any snow for a few years though :(
True.. although my BFG's were good in the snow we had a couple of years back, so not sure how they could get any better...

Oh, and I forgot to answer, on the front, we still have the standard Pigtail hook on both cars. I would like one for the other side, but the T2 ones are slightly bent, making them handed to one side of the car, where as the ones that were on the T1 were not. They used a spacer to lift it clear of the chassis. The problem is, they are like rocking horse manure.

Not sure what calmini style ones are like. There was someone on here going to make some nice swivel ring ones and sell them, but never seen anything more about them since.

I did this post in the past.

Yeah the yellow ones, I saw some by calmini for navara. There are a few engineering places bunched together near me, one day I'll call in on them all.
I've got so many things I want to do now though, suspension first I reckon :nenau

You're gonna get battered!!!! You said you had to keep it standard :lol

I dug our vinyl cutter out for a play, and as a practice run, using some sparkly silver vinyl I got hold of cheaply, I made these stickers up for Suz's spare wheel...

Still deciding what to put at the bottom, but I am quite pleased with the results so far.

I have 2 more of the Tonka stickers to go on the trim at the bottom of the front doors as well. but not fitted them yet.
