you are not ever going to get that muddy are you? think of the cleaning after, but a very nice job nonetheless, Rick

Finally Patrol is on the road!

Here's my crazy tyre man setting up the tracking after installing front adjustable steering rod (with both ends removable)

I realize that photo shows the rear bar :nenau

Have to say your truck does look and sound good. Can't wait to get mine on the road. I reckon we ought to get all the project cars together for a meet:thumb2

Thanks! A meet would be a great idea. Peaks maybe? I'm still in project phase so not sure if I can do any offroading yet :)

I have also left the front ARB in the garage. Can't really say I suffer from excessive body roll so it seems to be fine. Will do the same on the rear once I get round to the rear end.

We live down a rough farm track and I left the Mrs front ARB off as was forever doing the drop links, and as she is not a fast driver nor fast in corners it is of no consequence, but I used it with the trailer to pick up Harlowmaveric's motor, no problem going up empty, but coming back loaded I did have a few tense moments on long sweeping fast bends and over reacted on the steering slightly enough to cause a little wag, not nice, OK once I got used to it, as our motors are almost identical I was led into the feeling I was driving my own, as for the rear I would not be removing that on a road going motor, Rick

Niiiiice, better tell the tyre guy he has frost bite on his left thumb and it looks ready to drop off, must be from touching an ice cool truck:thumb2

Just about to get a set of calipers blasted, did you leave Pistons in or out, worried about damaging the bore.

Do not sand blast calipers without the piston fully in the bore and the old external boot in place, also bleed nipple in and a blank plug to the hose inlet, any sand inside the fluid ways will be very difficult to remove for certainty and if missed could be disastrous, Rick

Yes sounds like a plan, going to use cut off and bend over brake pipe ends, will push piston all the way in and leave bleed nipples in then replace after...

Everything was out and bore was masked off as well as vital threads. No issue.
