Don't go a leveling up the front :doh
You'll have bugger all droop to speak of, and not the way you're thinking either :lol
Too high up front and the suspension can't go anywhere useful. I know you have a Lokka but if the front's cocking a leg the back end will be more likely to spin out, even with LSD

It's a lot of work and with a lokka I don't think it's the way forward really.
I did it to prove a point some time back and things kind of got out of hand after that :lol

remember going from 33s to 35s you only gain about 1" diff clearance.

Yes you want to get the best clearance but you have to think about the added strain on driveline, steering, brakes etc.

Good pointes Fez, I think I'll go 33's, Calmini/Markini Arms to deal with the camber issues on the front if any and see how we go from there :thumb2

A Few Little Updates

So it's been a little while and I've done a few little jobs and added a few bits here and there

New Wipers all round

Found this almost £100 battery with Receipt in a scrapper that had just been recovered by a local scrap yard for £10 and turns out was only manufactured June of last year :clap

Was looking forward to doing this one after the ballache I had the last time with the Maverick ones, I knew it was going to be a sinch this time round and it was :thumb2

I was naught and did it at work on the car park one evening and got the caretaker to open up one of our workshops and used the biggest vice they had to press the new ones in.

The old spider (I love being brutal cutting them out :lol )

The new Toyo ones with grease nipples and replacment Circlips that are a joy to put on and take off :thumb2 Bargain price too from Milners with the discount :sly

The biggest news though is that tomorrow if all goes to plan I'll be getting my new 33" Cooper STT Discoverer's fitted :clap :clap :clap

I may even be really naughty and go for the 10J rims :sly

Nice work matey 10s look good but seriously mind your offset . Big width is much more difficult to get full articulation.
How wide are your 33s ?

It's had some charge in it, I wouldn't have said it was full, but it was still turning the Terrano it came off over all day long without a struggle so I'd say it's a good one :thumb2

In fact, just so it doesn't catch me out when I last need it to, I'm going to have it drop tested today to make sure it's good, nothing wrong with my Lucas XV Marine Leisure Battery but that one's in the back of the car anyway as a spare :naughty

Also used to power my pump when I'm on my Vegetable Oil collections

I see on the Cooper site that 10s are the ideal width for that size of STT, minimum recommended is 8.5 :nenau

I would have gone 8.5 on the T2 I had 12.5s on them with no issues and you do get a nice shoulder to work with. Deforms easily over rocks n logs etc but not too flexi for on road.
Can your wheel supplier let you try some 10s ?

The kindness of strangers

So I remember somewhere creating a thread mentioning that I was desperately hunting around for a rear window guard and had no luck at all!!!!!! The only ones I've ever seen are some homemade ones on Google Images that were terrible and one in the back of a Red SWB Commercial that was parked up in a harbour in Peel, Isle of Man. I even went as far as contacting the Manx Electricity board to see where they got it from and their Vehicle Maintanance guys even got me details of who did it for them. A call to a commercial truck body specialist in Oxford led me to hit a brick wall as they advised me they had a batch of 80 fabricated in '99 and had none left and the company that did them had since gone under :doh

I'd kind of given up on the idea after that until about a few weeks ago In had a PM from a new member of the forum Thomas61 :thumb2

If I ever go to the Isle of Wight again he will get a massive hug!!!!!! Even though last time I went to the Isle of Wight my Maverick was written off :doh

I'm going to have it stripped back to metal, cut the bottom left bulge out as the Mk4 rear window is totally rectangular, I'll get the 3 legs tack welded back on then and have it powdercoated black and get it fitted :naughty

It's just ironic really, I could be dying on the floor engulfed in flames and my family wouldn't even pee on me yet a total stranger has gone out his way to do this for me :nenau this world will always surprise me, the kindness of strangers

On this one Rick, I have had the battery tested at 2 different places now who have both advised that battery is still over 80% healthy and my Lucas one is still good too :thumb2
