Hi mate, this thread is massive :lol
Am I right in thinking this is your current steering setup, but now you have normal ties on?
View attachment 11111

That's the exact same setup that I am running now.

I sent a drag link up to BigBunny and he modified it so that I could use it with a modified rose joint setup. Got the Rose Joints from McGill Motorsports and Craig milled up the pins.

We did extensive research into the best type Rose Joints we could buy for our money and after eating through the first two sets surprisingly quickly, we managed to find some with a treated edge that are still running strong to this day with only the tiniest amount of play in them at the moment.

I will need to switch them out soon.

I'm also running one of Craig's modded draglinks.
I gave up with rose jointed tie rods and went back to the ball jointed standard ones.
On my second set of tie rods in about 4 years.
Went for moog rod ends and they are lasting fairly well tbh.

I was thinking of doing the same as you, modify drag link and ball joint ties.
I just need to figure those bolts out :D the ones he made

The bolts on mine are an M14,cross drilled and a grease nipple fitted in the top.
To fit the bolts you will have to drill the taper out of the pitman arm.
I also welded a gusset and a 10mm top plate to the pitman arm to form a fork which then sits over the modded draglink to take out the twist.

Keeping Busy - In Car Infotainment

Been hoarding bits and bobs now and have about 3-4 different iterations of working offline GPS navigation for green laning with 25k OS Explorer Maps

After trialling many windscreen mounted tablets I've decided on something a bit more sturdy and a bit more out there :naughty

I've decided I wanted to use a Panasonic Toughbook CF-19 as I love them to bits and have a fair few at my disposal.

I firstly grabbed a CF-19 In-Car Dashboard Mount from Artem in Ukraine over at Barrmaley :naughty

https://barrmaley.com/ptcf19mount?search=toughbook

Then got my hands on a nice quality VESA mount and got busy.........

I've decided that the best place for it to be mounted is from the roof near the front windscreen as there is a metal brace there capable of a bit of load bearing  So out with the roof lining, I'm binning the front map lights and also removed the metal support that screws to the body holding the map lights in place.

Decided to use x4 M8 Rivnuts using the two existing upper holes from the light bracket and then made two others below, you'll note they aren't 100% square, this was deliberate to miss wiring and contours in the support. The lips are coated in marker pen for the paper template that I created.

A well thought out mounting position :thumb2
Folds up nicely out of the way:cool:

Where did you order them?
Had a set in my watch list at £500 from Charles at JCS in Derby, only problem is there that I would have to collect as well so that's another £30

This set came up as an advert on my phone saying "because you looked at......"

£420 delivered from Tyres Direct, I just didn't realise how direct!!! Tyres seem to have a return address on them for Toyo UK HQ in Burton upon Trent

That is a nice price for a full set :)

Just took a look at their site, but they don't have the right size for the Pajero :(
Same problem in The Netherlands, found one site with the Toyo's in 18 inch and that's it.

What size are too going for? Are you due any cutting?

Original size is 265/60/R18.
Just found them in 275/70/R18. Tyre Direct is the cheapest one I've found, only didn't look at the shipping.
Next thing is to find out if they do fit (I do think so). Just checking it, still want to get them next year I gues.

I've just been very very naughty, and I bet none of you will guess what it is!!!!
