Took the caravan for a spin round today, it's good for the tyres, the new rear shocks have made a big difference and I'm sure the back of the truck did not sit as low!
I would like the van to be a bit more nose down so I will have to make some alterations to my towing hitch.

Cos the van nose is too low for speed humps and hump back roads, jockey wheel grounding is to be avoided, Rick

Nice outfit.. Those pictures make it look perfect, I would be happy with that ride height as it it. Too low at the front, and you get pillow type speed humps taking out the jockey wheel.

I never thought about that, the hitch is at its lowest setting and will move up so if I have problems I will lift it, I think I drove over some ravioli bumps today with no probs but a more severe angle would probably hit. The reason I wanted it so low is as I understand it it is a good thing to have the nose of the caravan pointed down a bit to improve towing and safety. It towed like a dream today, better than ever with the new shocks and my £50 go faster knob fitted

After being inspired by bbbmmm555 I went and got myself 40l of veg oil, I just love that smell baby
£15.99 for 20l, and you can knock the price down £4 if you px 20l used oil for every 20l you buy :thumb2

The truck looks really good mate.

If that tape is there because the lens has detached from the indicator body then mine did exactly the same on both sides. I used Exterior No More Nails, would of prefered black but went with white as I needed the truck and only a temp fix. Two and a half years later that temp job is still solid

Two and a half years??, I can't compete with that :lol

The whole indicator unit falls out, both the top and bottom fastening points have broke, the bottom one has broke on the otherside too. Those are the third pair I have broken and I'm sick of buying them now so I reckon the tape will stay for a while

No pics but I helped a mate out earlier, he parked his transit on wet grass (dumbass) and it sank. Terrano to the rescue, o/s on grass and n/s on tarmac, 2nd gear low on tickover. No wheel spin just pulled it up and out of the mud, I was expecting some wheel spin on the grass but nowt :thumbs The led light I put on the back was extremely useful too :thumbs

Earlier in this thread I posted some pics of a winch I got given, I didn't know what the specs on it are but I'm pretty certain its this one....

I think I'm going to make a rear detachable mount for it so I can attatch it when I need it, I'm going to replace my current tow bar with a 2" hitch receiver so I can have "multiple attachments" :thumbs

Be aware that receiver hitches are illigal in this country on passenger vehicles manufactured after 1998 unless they are type approved.
Not sure if you can even get a type approved one and they will probably be mega bucks if you can.

I haven't been able to find any definitive info on it but I think it may be a Euro thing, so hopefully will go away when we brexit :lol

Like I said I haven't found any solid info on it and I've been 50/50 about doing it, but then I met jay666d at Stratford 4x4 show and he told me to do it
