These were taken on an old ww2 airfield, by the looks of this it was used with trains probably to off load bombs and ammo, there is a railway running parallel to this about 50/75yds away. Note the hook in the middle.

Car needs a wash!!! :augie :D

That's quite a hook, you could use that to practice your sewing.. er.. winching!!!:lol

Thats an idea, I usually use a tree a bit further up for re-winding my rope :D
...and the dirt is holding the bumpers on :p

Now come on Tdoug, you can't leave it like that!!! I need to know what airfield pal:nenau

Think you're right about the ramp though I have seen one at Redmire in the dales and apparently that one was used to load tanks on and off trains and apparently still does occasionally.

:lol sorry jim, Burn airfield nr Selby, they flew bombers out of it, BIG bombers :thumb2

I nearly said Burn, I've flown Gliders out of Burn mate. Was great fun but dam stinky over the power stations getting lift.

How about in Spring getting together for a chillax day out looking around old airfields?

Powerstations won't be a problem for long, they are all closing, Ferrybridge already has!!

Sounds like a good mate, lets make it happen :thumb2

I am not in the least bit bothered, Rick :D

Eggborough power station is supposedly in moth balls, the other day BOTH chimneys were going which means everthing was lit and the amount of steam from the cooling towers was tremendous!!

From where I was stood I could see Ferrybridge, Eggborough and Drax, all three are supposed to be going, Ferrybridge is already closed, the grid will be tapping into your power soon Rick :lol

To me it seems all wrong, we will be dependant on other suppliers and when all our capacity has gone the suppliers will suddenly hike the prices up.

Yup, thats how it will happen, and rolling black outs too! Eggoborough has been working quite hard recently, it was put on "standby" but has been needed constantly! I know coal powered stations cannot live forever but we need to have more reliable and abundant sources of power before we close them all, the government are rushing.

Took the caravan for a spin round today, it's good for the tyres, the new rear shocks have made a big difference and I'm sure the back of the truck did not sit as low!
I would like the van to be a bit more nose down so I will have to make some alterations to my towing hitch.

Nice outfit.. Those pictures make it look perfect, I would be happy with that ride height as it it. Too low at the front, and you get pillow type speed humps taking out the jockey wheel.
